Ohhh, this is SO good. Yes, YES!!! Reunited!
Honestly, this is one of my favourite moments in the fic, so I love seeing how people draw and interpret it! The colouring on this is so great. There's a warmth to it that's perfect for this, and I loooove how gritty and beat up they both look (they really needed that cabin interlude, eh?). And your backgrounds are to DIE for! I especially love how you've done the snow in the forest, and the dirt stirred up into the ground.
The way you incorporated the text into this is so good, too. And their expressions aaaaaaa my heart. This rules, I love it! Thank you SO much!! :D <3 <3 -🔒
Reunited!
From @uhohbestie ‘s TAMN!!! I’ve been obsessed with this fic for months and been meaning to draw fanart for forever! The idea that it’s gonna end soon is sooooo heartbreaking </33 Genuinely my favorite in the history of forever!!

Sigh.. We all should've have chosen both wally and conner...i can't imagine the faces of batfam
how to be a heartbreaker! (again &. again concept)
ft. yandere! wally west, starfire, roy harper, artemis, conner kent, bart allen x gn! neglected! reader w/ platonic yandere! batfam.
— masterlist !
reblogs and interactions are encouraged and appreciated.
tw: age gaps but there isn't nsfw (except for conner) and the reader is described to be older than 20 in this concept and was far ignored longer than in the og story.
a/n: happy (late) halloween! 🎃 i'm praying to the gods, please don't let this post flop, i'm in my flop era fr! because i am not writing allat for it to get ignored 💔 (just kidding i love u guys, especially to all those who comment! i read all your comments even if i'm unable to reply at times). if you guys are wondering why i didn't include all the characters, it's because this is just a drabble and if anyone likes more concepts about this, please send in asks! anyways, enjoy this sweet harem au hehe.
anon, you are so right. but let me raise you this: getting together with all your siblings' teammates. i'm not just saying wally and conner, no! i'm saying the young justice, the teen titans, all their friends and old pals— the moment you come of age, hide under the radar for a few years and eventually meet them at random. you'd be giving dick, hell, even bruce, your father, mind you, a run for his money when it comes to a player reputation amongst the siblings, and the best part (or worst part for you once it's too late...) of it all is the fact that you don't even have to keep all your little relationships with them a secret when they never once bat an eye on you until recently.
the funny thing is: you didn't even have to try to attract them. it was all them approaching you at random days and getting to know you better, with you, at your lowest point, accepting any medium of attention. at first it was them feeling pity, perceptive to how your siblings chose to focus on them rather than you, but now it's them chasing after you because you're so interesting in every aspect; even if you find yourself average at best compared to your talented siblings.
maybe it's because you bring the normal out in them, or because you display such raw emotions and are an entirely separate being from vigilantism. either way, they find themselves thinking about you more often than their missions and that's harrowing.
and because you're such a pathetic, wet cat, so desperate for love; all the people you hit on develop a savior complex because of you. i don't just mean them finding you cute, or interesting, absolutely not. i mean you're constantly being thrown around like a prince or princess who needs a knight in shining armor to catch them when they fall, except you're constantly being carried in some other's arms even when you can stand on your own two feet.
you just have that special quality in you that makes everyone fall head over heels. it makes them fantasize scenarios of a home life with you; they could provide better than your current ones do, for sure. you'd be spoiled to death with kisses to your face, hands wrapped around your body, and a guarantee that you'll never feel alone or unsafe in a world full of danger that lurks around the corner.
that same quality may have also been your downfall.
wally west doesn't mind training all day to become stronger and faster to save you from every danger that lingers near your presence. hell, he doesn't complain anymore whenever dick assigns him some missions if that means he can pass by your room by the manor as an after-mission reward, loving it when you smile at him with the gentlest quip of your mouth as he hastily wraps you in his arms with the same amount of speed it took to run to your house. wally cherishes watching you in slow-time because he could worship every little part of his darling's expression, quelling the boredom he had for the entire day. he wants to be fast enough for his babe, not only just to impress them but because he wants them to see him as the only reliable individual capable enough of protecting and flirting with you. not everyone can measure up to his speed, no? nobody could keep up with this man's speed and he's known for taking you away whenever you're with someone else just to get a sliver of your time.
starfire's emotions become ablaze and so does her powers every time she notices one of your other sweethearts becoming too touchy with you, unable to comprehend why you're not even in a relationship with her yet. but you're too sweet and you bury yourself in her curly tresses to calm her down. at first that's enough! she doesn't understand the concept of physical affection and the boundaries that come with it as much as others but boy does she crave it when it comes to you. it doesn't help the fact that you're incapable of sometimes denying her affections and letting yourself be constantly kissed by the girl in every part of your face. she's very warm, though, and her curiosity about things foreign to her, paired with you teaching her more about your world, makes starfire adore her sweetheart's willingness and patience; it simply warrants another passionate kiss in the mouth from the pink-haired alien.
roy harper brings out a more rebellious side of you that you never imagine yourself sporting. his experiences in life and his rebellious relationship towards oliver queen, his adoptive father shapes him to who he is now; and he'd be damned if you drown yourself in endless misery like he did. yeah, it doesn't help that lian loves you as much as he does and he thinks you're the perfect match for him, watching you play with his little girl and care for him whenever he's injured does wonders for the fantasies that plays itself in his head, all scenarios of coming home to you after a hard day of work, just to see you and lian greet him the moment he enters your shared house with him, kissing him in the lips, telling him about the wonderfully prepared dinner you and lian whipped up for him, and watching your eyes widen at another bouquet of your favorite flowers he bought home for you. you're not in a relationship with him at all but can't a man just dream?
why dick wonders every damn time one of his friends ditch another one of their hangouts is a question never to be answered. but it's been noticeable these days that he's starting to suspect something wrong at play, especially since he's noticed tension within his comrades, and as a leader he couldn't just simply ignore the tense glares, insults to their being, and the hushed whispers; all pet names, a mantra they're used to calling you.
but dick doesn't take it seriously until it's too late.
that his baby bird long fell off the nest years ago, taken into the arms of whom he thought to be his most trusted comrades, thoroughly loved more than he could've given you. and it's not just one person smitten with you; it's an entire harem of people unwilling to share you just as much as dick who'd soon realize that he shares far more similarities with you; a heartbreaker, yet a caretaker at heart.
it's no wonder why everybody wants you for themselves. it's not only your family who loves to hear your precious laughs and gentle hands; that sets the jealousy ablaze in his heart.
jason never thought that artemis carried a softer version of her. but he's been picking up telltale signs of her donning dangling keychains, all cute doodles of her no doubt, and necklaces he's sure he's seen around the manor at times. it's not her typical style, and she never really found the appeal with cute things like crochet plushies of her; yet the designs are oddly reminiscent to someone he always called his angel. but whenever he tries to bring the topic up, he only receives a snarky reply, a protective hold on her things, and a familiar phrase telling him to mind his business. he isn't aware of how she met you one time after you've nearly been crushed to death by a car accelerating at you, if not for her taking the blunt end of the hit. ever since that day you've been seeing her regularly by alleyways watching over you as your guardian and giving her tokens of appreciation, albeit small, that she keeps as her prized properties; ones nobody has special access to touch. she's not much of a heckler for physical touch, but she occasionally gives you a head scratches and the rare peck to your lips.
jason doesn't like how jealous he is towards her, because of how the would-be stranger treats her and why he can't seem to pinpoint the primal urge to rip those little trinkets from her. sometimes he feels like a man possessed, eyeing the keychains and the random pastel bracelets longer, all warranting the same angered glare artemis reciprocates.
he swore he's seen them before, splayed across the random rooms in the manor, some even being in the library; things he loved to fiddle with whenever he was bored out of his mind. so seeing them being proudly displayed by artemis triggers visceral reactions within him.
but could jason do anything about it when he's part of the reason why your roster consists of your family's comrades? no.
if you couldn't get attention from your family, you'll just have to get it through their affiliations. yeah, some are older than you, but god are you treated like divinity with just how willing they are to kneel upon your feet just to gain a crumb of your attention. even the strongest lay weak whenever you look at them with disappointment or sadness with your wide, captivating eyes.
all the times tim drake would be with teammates, he'd notice how their eyes look at him expectantly, as if waiting for another one to accompany them. at first he ignores it, but the longer their strange behavior persists, he begins opening a case about his close friends.
he soon realizes that conner has a record of mentioning "his cute little darling," and how he'd brag to his other friends about how left his jacket and all his favorite t-shirts in your room and how you're always drowning in his scent— always quiping about just how much it smells like you and how he enjoys wearing all his clothes right after you wear them just to get a whiff of your presence in his life; you being his motivation to fight against crime just so he could see your pretty face and tell him you're proud of him. undeniably, he's the one who spends the longest time with you and he's prideful about it, being the only man with the privilege to touch every part of your skin, wishing to melt against you just so he'd be branded in your body like how your name is the only sweet thing he can taste in his mouth.
it's not only conner, but bart allen would bounce around more often demanding that it's unfair how conner gets everything and how he gets little time with you, with just how often you get thrown around by all your love interests! he'd admit just how cute he finds you whenever you coo about him and play with his messy locks of hair whenever it's his time of the week to visit you right after missions. spending time with him is arguably the most casual part of your life, because he loves to help you with your daily errands despite him complaining about the same tasks to his other teammates... he says it's because you stimulate every part of his brain to find satisfaction in every small action that you do, but it's not only that, rather, he wishes to gain all your praises that you sing for him, never finding boredom in your presence at all.
tim's the first one who pieces the jigsaw puzzle together, but he's thoroughly astounded either way at just how smitten they are with you. it makes him open an entirely different case that's just about you; where he discovers how you're connected with nearly everyone close to him and his siblings.
it makes him wonder what makes you all the more interesting. it's how exactly he spirals into a periodic cluster of events investigating your entire life and drowning himself in work, terabytes of files each analyzed carefully— all about you, your past, and present situation. tim drake never saw a person this admired that much, so much so that online stalking lead to physical stalking.
all your dm's are spammed by countless people, and you don't even take the initiative to reply because you'd be too busy being tossed around by the time the vigilante tracks your location. it's honestly amusing at first but the longer tim become a third perspective to your life, the more he craves your physical presence, just to get a taste of dissecting all the thoughts in your brain. but with just how often their friends fight over you, it'd be hard to rip you away from the clawing hands of all your admirers.
that's why he sets a plan into motion. if he couldn't have you to himself, then he could at least share you with the closest people he had in his life— not with all the strangers who think they know his younger sibling better than he does.
a simple document, many actually, so documents, were all he needed, with printed stacks of a4 paper compiling each and every known fact about you.
all in the name of love, he'd give it out to every member of the family in quick succession.
a hefty reminder to take back what once was theirs.

Orange sunlight pours through the black-tinted windows in Bada’s office, casting a warm glow onto words that blur into blots of ink against white paper. Bada's tired eyes squint, attempting to make out the last sentence of the form in front of her. But no matter how hard she glares and huffs, the blots don’t unify into words.
“Ugh,” she groans, pushing away the form out of frustration. “I need a break.”
“You think so?” Lusher pops up behind the office door, having quietly opened it while Bada was focused on her paperwork.
“Yes, Lusher, I need a break,” Bada pinches the bridge of her nose, sighing out of her nose. “But I have a feeling I won’t be able to, now that you’re here.”
“Those are some harsh words for someone who brought you a gift,” Lusher says cheekily. She approaches Bada, opening her once-closed fist to reveal a pair of black-framed glasses. “Tada!”
Bada lets out a breath, muttering a thank you before grabbing her glasses and putting them on. Immediately, she feels the world come into focus, and the words on the form she pushed away are now crisp and uniform. “Much better.”
“What would you do without me?” Lusher jokes.
“I’d probably be much more productive.” Bada takes ahold of her gold-trimmed fountain pen and sets another stack of papers in front of her.
“What happened to taking a break?” Lusher pouts. “You’re going to go blind if you continue to push your eyes this much.”
“Well, thanks to you, I have my glasses, so I won’t go blind,” Bada says without looking up from the paper she’s signing.
“That’s not how it works,” Lusher huffs.
Bada stops writing, placing her fountain pen down and lifting her gaze up to stare at Lusher dead in the eyes. “What do you want?”
“I want to talk to you.” Lusher plops down on the couch in the corner of the room. “We never get to talk like friends anymore.”
“I’m busy,” Bada says gruffly.
“You’re always busy,” Lusher complains. Bada doesn’t respond, instead, she picks up her pen again and starts reading the paper in front of her. “Fine,” Lusher folds her arms across her chest, “I’ll just talk aloud.”
Again, Bada ignores her subordinate, shuffling to the next paper and beginning to scan the words.
Lusher takes no offense, already used to her friend’s cold and serious behavior; in fact, it’s something she admires in her. And, she also knows that despite how her boss outwardly acts, Bada does care about her and listens to what she has to say.
“Minah and I took care of that job yesterday.” She comments, her eyes moving to the tinted window in Bada’s office. “It was very easy. U-Ram is getting sloppy.” Lusher waits to see if Bada will respond, but she doesn’t, so the second-in-command continues. “His branch of Seoul should be easy to take over. And if he doesn’t want to give it up, Tatter, Minah, and I can visit him.”
Silence fills the room, making Lusher pout again. She wants to get at least some sort of reaction out of Bada, but she remains steadfast in focusing on her work. Lusher thinks to herself, for a moment, wondering what else she could bring up to her boss that might spark up some form of conversation.
Suddenly, a lightbulb goes off in her mind, making her eyes light up and her lips curve upward in a mischievous smile. There’s one thing she can use. One thing–or more like one person–that always breaks through Bada’s icy attitude.
“So, how have things between you and unnie been going?” Lusher asks innocently.
Bada’s writing pauses, “We’re doing fine.” She mumbles before continuing to scribble furiously.
Bingo, Lusher thinks, trying to hide how her smile grows. “That’s good, I’m glad. I was worried after the incident with Seong, your relationship would be on the rocks. But it seems like it brought you two closer together.”
Bada keeps her eyes fixed on the document below her, “Yes. Our friendship has become much stronger.”
“Friendship.” Lusher snorts.
“What’s so funny?” Bada cuts in, tone hard.
“You and unnie aren’t friends.”
“We are.” Bada insists. “I enjoy her company, and she enjoys my company. We’re friends.”
“Bada, you and unnie have done everything in a traditional relationship other than have sex.” Lusher deadpans.
Bada’s hand fumbles with her fountain pen out of shock, her eyes snapping up to meet Lusher’s figure casually lounging on the couch. “Lee Seoyoung,” She says firmly. “remember your place, and don’t speak about my fiancée in such a way.”
“I don’t mean it in an offensive way.” Lusher shrugs, not affected by Bada using her full name. “I’m just pointing out that you two aren’t friends. Or if you are, you’re incredibly touchy friends.”
Bada scoffs, removing her gaze from Lusher. “We’re just friends. End of story.”
“If you say so,” Lusher concedes, resting her head against the headrest of the couch. “But now that I think about it, I wonder how unnie keeps herself satisfied.”
Bada looks up once again, her expression showing clear confusion. “What are you talking about?”
Lusher smirks to herself, sitting up. “Well, unnie’s been with you for about two and a half months now, right? Don’t you think she’d begin to feel…” she trails off, trying to find a less brash way of expressing her thoughts. “lonely for companionship? For some… skinship?”
Bada’s eyes widen only a fraction, the wheels in her mind slowly turning. “I greet her in the morning with hugs and a peck on the cheek.”
“Boss, you have to realize that not all of us are as composed and able to be abstinent for long periods of time like you are.”
“What are you implying?” Bada says incredulously. “That she’s–” she cuts herself off, becoming physically sick at the thought of someone else touching you, caressing you, giving you pleasure, and seeing you in ways she hasn’t.
“I’m not implying anything.” Lusher holds her hands up in defense.
Bada glares at Lusher, countless thoughts running through her mind as her heart races in her chest. “And if she were to be… engaging in such activities, who do you think she’d find company in?”
Lusher looks up, thinking deeply and seriously about Bada’s question. “I would have to say… Hyo. They’ve become quite close.” She answers honestly. “But don’t take this too seriously, Boss. Unnie isn’t that type of woman.”
But it’s much too late. Internally, Bada’s already beginning to spiral, remembering every interaction between you and Hyo she’s witnessed. There’s no way you’re interested in her… right? She may follow you around every minute of every day, but that’s not enough to make you fall in love with her, right? It’s not enough to make you yearn for her touch while Bada remains shut in her office, reviewing documents and signing papers…
“Bada…” Lusher trails off, noticing how her friend’s eyes become cloudy in thought. “I’m serious, don’t read too much into it. I was just joking around.”
“I’m not reading into it,” Bada responds after a beat. “My fiancée is her own woman, and what she does in her free time is none of my business. As long as she’s safe and happy, I’m content.”
Lusher frowns deeply, shaking her head. “But—”
“Don’t worry about it; I’m fine.” Bada holds up a hand to stop Lusher from continuing. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I want to finish this pile of papers before nightfall.”
Lusher looks between Bada and her work, unsure if she’s convinced that her friend wasn’t overthinking her joking comment. Eventually, she decides not to disturb Bada anymore, taking her leave and remaining oblivious to the chain of events she would unwittingly cause.
Like an unrelenting plague, Lusher’s words echo in Bada’s mind for the rest of the day, night, and the next day that follows. She tries to stay on task and finish her paperwork, but no matter how hard she tries, her mind will play cruel tricks on her, showing her images of your sweaty body sliding against Hyo’s, a smirk painted across her face as she services you with unrivaled pleasure.
Bada bangs her fist against her desk, dragging her chair back violently as she groans, running her fingers through her hair in frustration. If she can’t focus on her work, she might as well see what you’re up to and maybe spend some time with you. Not because she wants to observe your interactions with Hyo—no, not at all. She misses you, is all. In a friendly way, of course.
Leaving her office looking tired and disgruntled, Bada bumps into Soweon in her search for you. She asks her youngest subordinate if she knows where you are, to which she says yes, pointing in the direction of the terrace where the infinity pool lies. Bada says a quick thank you before fast walking in your direction, a prickle of nervousness building in her stomach, something she isn’t used to.
Stepping onto the terrace, Bada’s right hand busies itself by loosening her tie, noticing how tight it suddenly felt when her eyes find a sight that makes the nervousness in her stomach wash away, and instead, be replaced by a burning heat.
Your lower half is submerged in water while your upper half is arched into the warm afternoon air, water droplets falling from your throat and dipping down between your breasts as you hoist yourself out of the pool. In front of you, Hyo is holding out a white towel with one hand and grabbing onto yours in the other, helping you out of the pool.
There’s nothing particularly abnormal or intimate about the interaction, but it’s your bathing suit that makes Bada’s breath hitch, and the simmering fire burning within her spread. It’s a black ensemble, elegant, and compliments your figure to implausible lengths, that Bada wonders if it was handmade to make you look as divine as possible.
But your beautiful visage is overridden by Lusher’s words once again ringing in her mind.
Bada’s legs move before she can even think, rushing her over to where Hyo’s holding out the towel for you. She grabs it from her without a second thought, standing directly in front of her and taking your hand in hers, so Hyo’s unable to see you fully emerge from the pool.
“Bada?” You say, your eyes lighting up at the sight of her. “What are you doing here?”
“I decided to take a break.” She lies through her teeth, briefly checking behind her to see Hyo giving her a slightly confused look before she steps back, allowing her boss to take care of you instead. “Here,” Bada mumbles, wrapping the warm towel around your figure with haste and pulling you into her side.
The action makes butterflies flutter in your belly, and a shy smile overtake your lips. “Thank you.” You say softly, taking the chance to discreetly snuggle into Bada’s warmth.
“You’re welcome.” Bada nods, glancing at Hyo from the corner of her eye every few seconds. “So, is this where you’ve been all day?”
“Mostly,” you admit. “I haven’t swum much recently, and the sun was warm today, so I thought I’d cool off a bit in the water.”
“I see.” Bada nods. “And your bathing suit…” she trails off.
“What? Do you like it?” You ask innocently, unraveling the towel to give her another look at the piece.
Bada's eyes widen as she quickly wraps you in the towel again, feeling her body warm at the sight of yours. "Yes, yes, it looks very good on you," she hurries out. "But isn't it a little... inappropriate for Hyo to see you like this?"
"What do you mean?" You give Bada a confused look. "She sees me like this all the time."
Bada struggles to keep her composure as her thoughts start to race, and her hands instinctively curl into fists. "She does?"
"Yeah, I go swimming pretty often," you say casually, starting to walk toward the terrace exit. Bada follows, keeping you tucked into her side, and sending glares Hyo's way. You glance at your fiancée, noticing the black frames on her nose. "You're wearing your glasses again." Reaching up, you gently touch the side of them.
"Oh, yes," she mumbles. "I forgot I had them on."
"Bada, you need to stop pushing yourself so much." You pout.
Your fiancée smiles lightly, "You know, Lusher said the same thing."
"Because we're right." You insist. "You're lucky you don't have to wear those glasses every day."
"I won't let it get that bad."
You give her an unconvinced look, crossing your arms. "I'm holding you to that, you know."
"Oh?" Bada smirks. "And what will you do if I slip up?"
"I'll start visiting you every other hour to bother you until you take a break." You say playfully.
"Well, we can't have that, can we?" Bada banters back.
"Hmm, I don't know, I think you'd enjoy it." You mimic a thoughtful expression, making Bada laugh.
"I'd more than enjoy it." She admits, disguising her sincerity with a joking tone.
Slowing your pace, you find the door to your bedroom right ahead, which surprises you. You must have been so enraptured in your conversation with Bada that you didn't realize your legs were taking you back to your bedroom out of instinct.
Parting from Bada reluctantly, you stare at her with glittering eyes as you shift on your feet. "Thank you for coming to see me. I like spending time with you, even if it's only for a little."
Bada swears you’re trying to kill her, because why are you so sweet and lovely? All her life, Bada's dealt with ruthless businessmen, deceitful allies, and those who used her for personal gain. But you... you get genuine satisfaction out of simply seeing her. And she can't deny that she feels the same way.
"You're welcome," Bada says softly, rubbing her hand up and down your arm out of instinct. She doesn't realize the effect her touch has on you, but she sees the way you smile down at the floor. "You can visit me anytime, by the way. I wasn't lying before when I said I would enjoy you coming to see me." She admits brazenly.
"Okay then, I will." A brief pause of silence envelops you two before you turn to look back at your bedroom door. "I'm going to go take a shower. I'll see you later?"
"Of course," Bada nods. She steps forward to open the door for you, watching you head in before closing it behind you with one last small goodbye. She stays still for a moment, staring at the spot where you’d just been, lost in thought. When she finally recollects herself, she pushes her glasses farther up her nose and turns on her feet, about to head in the direction of her office. But upon beginning her stride, she is met with Hyo’s figure standing a few feet away.
“Have a good afternoon, Boss,” she says calmly.
Bada’s mood plummets in an instant, her expression souring at Hyo’s flippant demeanor. She gives a low hum in response before continuing down the hall toward her office.
That instance was only the mildest out of three that led up to Bada’s eventual break.
Instance number two occurred while Bada was hard at work. She’d been on a call, about to seal the deal on an important partnership between her and one of the lead car manufacturers in Seoul.
“I’m sure there are ways we can both benefit from this endeavor.” Bada’s voice projects into her work phone.
“There’s no doubt in my mind that you’re correct,” Nam-Su answers on the other line. “But I feel there are some logistical points that still need to be addressed.”
“By all means, ask me anything.” Bada walks around her office, making sure to remain attentive while Nam-Su speaks. If she manages to close this deal, her entire facility will have a steady supply of fortified and modified cars, perfect for jobs.
“Very well, my main issue stems from…” Nam-Su begins to rant, leaving Bada to simply hum in the background while considering his deal. Surprisingly, he had many valid and insightful questions–though she should have expected that from him. Nam-Su was always described as a cunning businessman–when he wasn’t telling jokes in the workplace. Still, Bada manages to reel Nam-Su in with her impeccable rhetoric, and persuasive offers.
It seems like she’s just about to close the deal when a noise causes her to pause her pacing. She looks up from the floor, squinting with a confused expression to her right, where she thought she heard the noise come from. Her eyes find the window that oversees the large garden right outside her office, locking on the fountain immediately. Assuming that to be the origin of the noise, she turns away, tuning back into her conversation with Nam-Su, who’s now ranting about his breakfast for some reason.
“That’s quite interesting, Mr. Im, but going back to the deal, how often and at what speed are you normally able to create heavily modified cars?”
“Ah yes, usually it takes around–”
The noise cuts in again, making Bada’s head whip toward the window again, this time sure that she heard it. She steps closer to the window, once again squinting in hopes of finding the source. But this time, she does. And she almost wishes she didn’t.
Bada sees you first, twirling into view in a beautiful and elegant sundress, looking like a goddess among the flowers in the garden. You’re laughing boisterously–which Bada realizes was the noise she heard, the sound muffled because of the glass barrier–at something just out of her view. You move to sit on the edge of the fountain, kicking your feet up a bit and revealing the creamy skin of your leg. Bada’s lips curl into a soft smile out of instinct, the sight of you so happy and carefree so pure that she can’t focus on a word Nam-Su is saying.
But just like always, Bada’s never able to fully admire you in peace, because another figure emerges, a black blob disturbing the color and sanctity of the garden. It’s Hyo, of course, dressed in her usual black suit and dark sunglasses. However, one thing stands out to Bada.
Hyo’s smiling.
And not just a simple, small smile, no–she’s smiling widely, borderline laughing with you as she stands in front of you, saying something that makes you give her a cheeky look.
Then she sees it.
Atop Hyo’s head is a ring of baby’s breath flowers woven together to make a crown. And similarly, sitting on yours is a colorful combination of peonies.
Bada's left hand tightens into a fist as she stares at you both, laughing and giggling like schoolgirls with crushes on each other. What was going on between you two? Where did this sudden air of intimacy come from? Has it always been there? Had Bada just been too wrapped up in her work to realize you and Hyo were becoming suspiciously close?
Either way it doesn’t matter, because all Bada can think about is how badly she wants to be standing there in Hyo’s place, admiring you up close, and laughing alongside you without a care in the world. She so badly yearns to be the only one you allow to hear your melodious giggles or share intimate moments with. (So caught up in her own jealousy, Bada doesn’t even realize her thoughts are continuing to stray away from friendship, and farther into romance.)
Bada’s eyes narrow to slits, glaring at Hyo’s every micromovement and scrutinizing it. She briefly considers leaving the office to interrupt, but before she can, she notices you freeze in your spot. A second passes before your eyes meet Hyo’s and become wide. Tiny droplets of water begin to rain down from the sky in steady streams, dotting your dress and deepening its color. You stand up in a hurry, your smile remaining on your lips as you hold your hands above your head, trying to shield yourself from the rain.
Hyo looks up at the sky and says something Bada’s unable to hear, but she sees you motion towards entering the mansion again and feels a wave of relief flood through her body. The world must be on her side. Clearly, it despised the sight of you and Hyo together as well, if the heavy downpour was any indication.
And yet… Hyo takes a step to the side, grabbing something out of Bada’s view before she walks closer to you, revealing an umbrella. Your smile only widens, unheard words falling from your mouth as you sit down on the edge of the fountain again, this time with Hyo sitting next to you. Bada’s eyes switch to cold in an instant, and she bites her lip in frustration. But of course, it seems the universe wants to torture her more, because you start to shiver, the dewy rain on your dress most likely giving you a chill. Because of that you unconsciously lean heavier into Hyo’s side, until you give in and press yourself against her arm, shaking like a leaf.
The simple action makes Bada’s entire body light on fire, a deep-seated jealousy rearing its ugly head as her teeth dig further into her lips, the force so strong that if she didn’t stop, she’d end up breaking the skin of her lip.
In the garden, it seems Hyo has finally noticed your shivering, because she breaks away for a brief moment to tug off her suit jacket before draping it around your shoulders, and bringing you into her side again, nodding when you mutter something to her.
Bada’s hand tightens around her work phone with impossible force, a droplet of blood falling from her lip as she stares at you both through the tinted window of her office while you speak to each other, completely oblivious to Bada’s gaze, or her anger.
“...Ms. Lee, are you alright?” Nam-Su’s voice breaks through the ringing in Bada’s ear, his tone a mesh between mild worry and genuine confusion at her prolonged silence.
“I’m great, Mr. Im,” she lies through her teeth, the glass screen of her phone cracking under the pressure of her hands.
The last instance, and the one that managed to finally break through Bada’s facade comes the night of Nam-Su’s ball.
Having successfully sealed the partnership between them despite her distraction, the cheerful man sent Bada an invitation the day after, proposing to throw a celebratory ball. He not only invited her, but Bebe too, and made sure to include a plus one ticket–having heard the rumors of you through the grapevine.
Although Bada doesn’t normally enjoy social events, she realizes it’s an opportunity to spend more intimate time with you, and jumps at the chance. She asks you to go as her plus one, to which you immediately accept.
Now, on the night of the ball, Bada looks at herself in the floor-length mirror in her room. Her eyes run down her figure multiple times, looking closely for any imperfections; wrinkles in her dress shirt, the position of her tie, or a stain on her customized suit. She finds none, but does one last check before leaving her bedroom in search of you.
You–much like Bada had once been–are picking over your appearance nervously while endless thoughts pass through your mind.
Tonight is a very important milestone in your relationship with Bada. Not only will you be making your public debut as her fiancée, as well as meeting multiple of her allied gangs, but this is also your first time attending a ball with incredibly high-profile socialites from all over South Korea. Disappointing their expectations of you or embarrassing yourself is not an option. Everything must be perfect for both your sake, and Bada’s.
As if hearing your thoughts, a light rapping against your door alerts you of Bada’s presence. “Are you ready?”
“Yes!” You answer hurriedly, gathering your bag and rushing to exit. You step out of your bedroom with a nervous smile, turning to face Bada once you’ve closed the door behind you.
Upon making eye contact with her, you immediately notice that she’s not in her usual black suit. Instead, she’s wearing an overall–looking suit jacket, one that somehow makes her even more attractive. She’s also wearing a ring on the middle finger of her right hand, as well as another on the knuckle of her thumb, which makes you swoon. Bada Lee is the most attractive woman you’ve ever seen.
While you appraise Bada’s appearance, your fiancée takes the chance to appraise you, but is struck with a bolt of shock at your choice of clothing. A ravishing, floor-length black dress with boning along the top adorns your figure, and pushes up the tops of your smooth breasts, displaying them, while a large slit begins along the side of it. It allows Bada to see the garter that holds up your mesh nylons–she feels herself gulp every moment her eyes instinctively dip down to look at your breasts or thigh.
The dress is paired with lace gloves, and the necklace Bada had given you.
Each element paired together decorates your body like beautiful embellishments, creating the vision of perfection in Bada’s eyes.
Her jaw drops out of surprise and astonishment, but once her mind catches up, various thoughts start to form. They start relatively innocent, “She’s so beautiful.” But then they start to stray, “Everyone at the ball will see her.” Until slowly, apprehension builds in her stomach. “I don’t want others to see her like this.”
“Bada?” Your voice brings your fiancée out of her spiraling thoughts. “Should we get going?”
“Oh, yes.” She clears her throat awkwardly, trying to fight the heat that she feels forming in her cheeks. “Sorry, I was–” She stutters. “You look absolutely stunning.”
You laugh bashfully to yourself. “Thank you. You look amazing as well.”
Bada simply smiles back at you, still recovering from your radiance as she holds out her arm. You take it without hesitating, falling in line with her as you both start walking away from your bedroom and toward the stairs to the first level of the mansion. Hyo follows after you as always, keeping her footsteps light while you and Bada engage in conversation.
“When did you buy this dress?”
“I ordered it a few days ago.” You respond. “I wanted to have a more appropriate dress for the occasion.”
“Well, nobody will be able to keep their eyes off of you,” Bada says confidently, beginning the descent down the stairs, holding onto you tight and making sure to help you balance on your heels.
“You think so?”
“I know so.” Bada takes the last step down the stairs first, turning to hold onto your waist as she guides you off the stairs.
“Are we the last to leave?” You ask, noticing the lack of Bebe members.
“Lusher and the rest of the girls left earlier.” Bada nods. “I had them scope out the venue to ensure it’s safe for you.”
“But aren’t all the attendees allies?”
“Yes, so they say.” Bada moves toward the entrance of the mansion, pushing the doors open to reveal her sports car already parked in the cobble-stone driveway. “But after everything you’ve experienced recently, I don’t want to take any risks.”
Bada’s words take you back to the Seong incident, and how terrified you’d been, trapped in her hideout. Your lips curl downwards in a frown, your eyes falling to the floor in thought.
Bada notices the shift in your demeanor, and immediately pauses, turning to face you with a gentle and determined expression. “You don’t have to worry about that happening again. All of Bebe will be paying close attention to you the whole night, and I as well. We won’t let anything happen to you.”
You shake your head, “I’m not scared. I trust you.”
Trust. A bond Bada never thought she’d be able to make again since her mother died. And yet, with you, everything comes naturally and easily.
The car ride to Nam-Su’s is relatively long. You find yourself cycling through many conversations with Bada, ranging from what you did this week, to what she did. Eventually, the conversation strays back to the ball.
“So just how influential are the socialites attending?” You ask.
“Hmm, well in terms of power and connections,” Bada begins, “I outrank all of them.”
“Really?” You awe.
“Yes,” Bada nods. “But it’s still very important to make a good impression. They may not have as much influence on me, but making enemies out of them could be detrimental.”
“Right, of course.” You clasp your hands together tightly, hoping the pressure will alleviate some of the nerves building in the pit of your stomach.
“What’s on your mind?” Bada questions softly.
You glance at her and sigh, “I guess I’m just a little worried I’ll say or do something wrong. I’m not used to being around extremely important men and women.”
“You don’t need to be nervous.” Bada grabs your hands and parts them, weaving your fingers together. “You’ll do great.”
“I don’t know–”
“Hey,” She tugs gently on your woven hands, making you turn to face her. “just be yourself. If you do that, they’ll all love you.”
The car comes to a stop just as Bada’s words fade into the open air, driving your focus away from her briefly and to the window instead. Outside, there are already a few paparazzi gathered around the car, their cameras positioned upward, as they wait with baited breath for you to exit.
“Paparazzi.” You breathe.
“They don’t usually show up like this.” Bada frowns, taking her phone out and typing quickly. “Don’t worry, I’ve got it handled.”
Right as she finishes her sentence, all of Bebe walks out of Nam-Su’s mansion onto the driveway. Lusher and Tatter take the lead pushing the paparazzi away from your car, while the rest of the girls focus on creating a walkway for you both to use.
“Hyo,” Bada says firmly.
“Yes, Boss,” your bodyguard answers quickly, fully parking the car and exiting it. She moves to stand next to your side of the car, but doesn’t open your door, because Bada has already left the car and circled around toward you, opening the door for you.
She holds her hand out for you to take as you slide your exposed thigh out of the car, holding onto her as you move to stand up. Immediately, flashes from the paparazzi’s cameras start to bombard you, but thankfully Bada quickly adjusts her position so she’s standing directly in front of you, blocking the lights from blinding you.
Bebe also jumps into action, hollering at the paparazzi who become overeager and start yelling at you to show your face, or for Bada to move out of the way.
“Hey, who do you think you’re talking to?” Lusher asks loudly, her face scrunched up in disgust.
“Have some respect!” Minah adds, stepping closer to a paparazzo and making him back away.
Bada remains unbothered by the yelling behind her, already used to the demanding nature of having a public life. “Are you okay?”
You take in a deep breath as you stare at Bada, before putting on a confident expression. “Yes.”
“Remember, just be yourself.” She whispers, linking her fingers with yours again. You from your joint hands to Bada, your eyes going wide as you glance at the paparazzi a few feet away, worried they’d see the display of affection. “Don’t worry,” Bada assures you, “they already know. They can’t do anything about it.”
Reinvigorating yourself, you nod firmly, signaling to her that you’re finally ready. Bada nods back, stepping aside so that you’re now shoulder to shoulder as you begin your stride toward the entrance to Nam-Su’s mansion. The paparazzi start to go crazy, snapping photo after photo of you two, but through the noise and the chaos you hold your head high, wanting to make Bada proud.
Behind you both, Hyo and Bebe do crowd control, surprised at the amount of paparazzi that have begun to slowly trickle in, solely focused on snatching an exclusive photo of you to plaster on headlines tomorrow. “Influential Socialite Bada Lee has found her partner?”
You try to dispel all negative thoughts as you stop in front of the entrance, Bada reaching into her left pocket to retrieve her invitation, and handing it to the man standing by the door. He barely takes a look at it before giving you both a bright smile, and motioning for you both to enter.
You look at Bada from the corner of your eye with an amused expression, which she mirrors. “Famous, are we?”
“What could have given you that impression?” Bada says playfully, guiding you further into the main hall.
You have to admit, Nam-Su really had taken no prisoners when it came to decorating his home. A large chandelier dangles low in the center of the room, glittering diamonds falling from the prongs like teardrops, and casting a low, beige light across the room. Tables hug the sides of the walls, with flowers tumbling out of their boxes atop of them, and adjacent to trays of small, Michelin star foods. Everything is beautiful, including the guests.
“Look who it is!” An excited voice reaches your ears, making you turn in that direction out of instinct. A woman with blonde hair, a bright smile, and a mature look heads in your direction. She’s wearing a low cut dusty pink dress that compliments her curves excellently.
“Ohh, Kirsten!” Bada says excitedly, switching to English to greet her friend. She meets her halfway and gives her a friendly hug, before pulling away. “I didn’t know you were back in Korea."
“I have some business to oversee here before we’re back to Australia and the States.” The woman, Kirsten replies. Her eyes drift away from Bada for a split second, finding yours instead. Her smile immediately widens, noticing how your arm is looped with Bada. “And who is this pretty lady? I love your dress, by the way.”
“Oh, yes,” Bada turns to look at you, showing a genuine enthusiasm at the thought of introducing you to her friend. “Kirsten, this is my fiancée,” she mutters your name while you step forward, a friendly smile adorning your lips as you shake hands with the older woman.
“Hello,” you greet her in perfect English, watching as her smile doubles in size. “Thank you, I love your dress as well.”
Bada speaks up again, gesturing to her friend, “This is Kirsten, she handles foreign affairs and runs her own group in Australia. We’ve been business partners and friends for a while now.”
“Hold on,” Kirsten cuts in, mimicking an offended expression. “I’m still surprised by the fiancée comment. Why didn’t you tell me you got engaged, Bada?” She acts like a mother scolding her younger daughter, making your smile widen and a small laugh fall from your lips.
“I was trying to keep it under wraps.” Bada says sheepishly. “I’m sorry.”
“You can make up for it by inviting me and the girls to the wedding as honored guests.” Kirsten remarks proudly.
“Ah, of course.” Bada nods, smiling widely. “Where are Audrey and Latrice, by the way?”
“Oh, it’s just me this time.” Kirsten clarifies. “They’re both still in Australia, handling things there while I’m here.”
“How often do you come to visit Korea?” You cut in, interested to learn more about her.
“I only really come when I’m needed.” She answers. “No offense, I love it here, but I get homesick very easily.”
“Oh, I would too.” You agree.
“Australia is my favorite place to be.” Kirsten says while making a heart shape with her hand, mimicking a thoughtful expression. Her youthful attitude makes your nerves slowly edd away as you laugh along with her. “Also, can I just say, your English is amazing.”
“Thank you so much.” You place a hand on your chest, the compliment making you smile.
“Of course, of course.” Kirsten takes hold of your hands, swaying them in a playful manner. “Bada, I think you really struck gold here.” She winks in your direction while looking at Bada.
“Yes, I really did.” Your finacée answers earnestly. All the while you and Kirsten were speaking, she’d been watching you silently, admiring the way you interacted with one of her close friends so naturally. If anything, she felt this proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that you were meant to be a part of her life.
“Ah, Ms. Lee!” Nam-Su’s voice interjects into the conversation. He stands a few feet away, his wife on his arm as he waves you and Bada over.
“Well,” Kirsten starts, “I’ll let you two go. It was wonderful meeting you!” She steps forward to give you a hug, surprising you, but you immediately reciprocate, already feeling comfortable around her.
“Thank you, I enjoyed meeting you as well!” You respond. Kirsten breaks away from the hug, muttering a goodbye to Bada as well before leaving to speak to another guest. You watch her leave for a second, then turn to face Bada. “She’s very sweet.”
“She is, isn’t she?” Your finacée takes your hand again, guiding you in Nam-Su’s direction.
“When did you two meet?”
Bada hums lightly, thinking. “I believe she’d just turned twenty, and I was around my mid twenties.”
“She’s younger than you?” You stare at her with wide, and shocked irises.
“Yes, she’s closer to your age than mine.” Bada nods. “Are you surprised?”
You nod, “She has a very mature look.”
“She does. But don’t feel bad, a lot of people think Kirsten is older than she really is.” Bada slows her pace as you both near Nam-Su, and switches to a more professional demeanor.
“Ms. Lee,” Nam-Su greets Bada again. He then turns to you, “and…”
“This is my finacée,” Bada introduces you to her business partner.
“Ah, I believe I’ve met your parents.” Nam-Su nods. “I see they’ve done well, you are a beautiful young woman.”
“Thank you so much.” You say politely, slightly bowing your head out of respect.
You, Bada, Nam-Su, and occasionally his wife, all engage in a comfortable, and friendly conversation. From this, you learn Nam-Su is a surprisingly carefree man, cutting into the conversation with random anecdotes and jokes. You end up enjoying yourself more than you expected to, but somewhere down the line, the conversation strays to Nam-Su and Bada’s deal, leaving you and the man’s wife out of the loop.
You tap on Bada’s arm lightly, diverting her attention away from Nam-Su to you. “I think I’m going to get a drink from the refreshment table.”
“Oh, sure.” She nods, giving your hand an encouraging squeeze.
“If you’ll excuse me.” You say to Nam-Su and his wife, gesturing toward the table across the room with champagne flutes and appetizers.
“Be my guest.” Nam-Su smiles.
You break away from the group, walking toward the refreshments while letting out a deep breath. Although everything’s been going well so far, you still feel mildly stressed, constantly checking your posture and making sure to remember proper etiquette. Reaching the table, you grab a champagne flute, holding it up to your lips and taking a small sip. The bubbly alcohol runs down your throat with a mild burn, the taste sharp, but also sweet.
“You’re looking a little bit tense over there.” A voice comes from beside you, making you turn away quickly and cover your mouth in surprise. “Oh come on, do I look that old to you?” Hyo raises an eyebrow at you, crossing her arms across her chest.
“No, no.” You answer quickly, turning to face Hyo with wide eyes. But when you finally stand face-to-face with her, you’re surprised to make eye contact with hazel eyes, the black sunglasses she wears nowhere to be seen. “You’re not wearing your sunglasses…”
“Did you really think I’d wear them at this kind of event?” Hyo scoffs lightheartedly.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you without them before.” You mutter, completely ignoring her question. “Oh, and about before, I don’t think you’re old, you just startled me.”
“Well at least you’re being careful.” Hyo shrugs. “Really sparing no expense on formality, huh?”
“This,” you gesture at the ballroom. “Is important to Bada.”
Hyo hums lightly, “It is for you as well.”
“Not as much as her.” You say softly. “Most of the people here have known her much longer than I have. I need to make a good impression.”
Hyo frowns at your words, placing her hand on your back and patting it lightly. “You need to loosen up, kid. Have some fun.”
“I’m trying.” You sigh. “But it’s hard to when all I can think about is the fact that I have to turn away from everyone to drink.”
Hyo laughs at your words, which makes a subtle smile form on your lips. “Well you don’t have to for Bebe, the Boss, or me.”
“You guys are the only exception.” You admit. Silence falls between you two for a few minutes while you continue to take small sips of your champagne, and Hyo turns to face the crowd of partygoers, watching them closely.
“Hey,” your bodyguard suddenly speaks up.
“Yeah?”
“Why don’t I take some pictures of you?” She makes a camera gesture with her hands, a playful look on her face.
“Pictures?” You glance around you with a hesitant expression. “Isn’t that inappropriate?”
“Come on, it’ll just be a few. You look cute, don’t you want to post them to social media?” Hyo insists. When you still give her a worried look, she sighs. “I’ll be fast, just give me your phone.”
You reluctantly hand her your phone, which she quickly taps into the camera app, taking a step back so she gets your entire dress and body in the frame.
“Okay,” she drags out the y in the word, “give me a sexy pose.”
You let out a deep breath before positioning yourself comfortably, and switching to a more alluring expression.
Hyo gives a hum of approval. “That’s good, maybe just turn to the side more.”
You do as she asks, the pose accentuating your nylon-covered thigh.
“Perfect, stay right there.” She holds up a hand before tapping on your phone, and taking the picture. “Okay, another pose.”
You shift around a bit, now growing more confident as you stare into the camera intensely.
“Ohh, that one’s nice.” Hyo mumbles under her breath. “And, last one. Make this one cute.”
You immediately smile, changing your posture to be more youthful and relaxed. Hyo taps one last time on your phone before passing it back to you, muttering compliments. You glance at the photos, surprised by how good they came out. Your figure stands out amidst the partygoers behind you, the low light highlighting your features and giving you a subtle glow.
Truthfully, you look amazing.
“Wow.” You mutter.
“My picture taking skills are out of this world.” Hyo banters. You roll your eyes at her playfully, nudging her shoulder. “I’m kidding kid, you look good.” She looks over your shoulder at the pictures again, nodding. “You should post them.”
You contemplate it for a second before doing as she says. Opening Instagram, you make a new post with all three pictures, simply captioning them with a champagne emoji.
Time passes by relatively fast after that, women and men from across the room approaching you to make conversation and introduce themselves. You greet them all timidly but politely, Hyo moving to stand off to the side, silently remaining vigilant as you slowly begin to loosen up further, even making some friends with the women who compliment your dress.
However, across the room, Bada leans against the wall while holding a glass of champagne in her right hand, alone. After you left, Nam-Su only spoke to her a bit longer before breaking off to speak to other guests. It was then that Bada realized you’d been gone for a while, and turned to look for you, only to see Hyo standing next to you, taking pictures of you.
Like clockwork, that venomous and sickening feeling of jealousy bubbles at the surface, making Bada’s expression immediately sour, and her gaze lock onto you both. She waited for Hyo to stop taking pictures of you so she could approach you, but just as soon as she did, other women started to gather around you, their voices just barely reaching Bada’s ears across the room, but she was able to make out every compliment they hurtled your way. And while Hyo fell back into her role as a bodyguard, that didn’t stop other women–and eventually men, from circling you and talking your ear off.
You stand in the center of it, looking shy and a bit reserved, but it seems that only makes them swoon even more. Like a new blooming flower amidst a garden of plain roses, you stand out like a beautiful jewel.
It makes Bada sick to her stomach. She has to watch from afar as their eyes stray from your eyes, dipping down to your breasts or your thigh, their gaze caressing every feature of yours like predators.
She only lasts a few minutes like that before she pushes off the wall, about to interrupt and make it clear to the crowd around you that you’re already spoke for–that you’re hers, and they will never be able to lay their hands on you like they desire to–when a loud voice stops her.
“Bada!” The voice says excitedly.
Bada turns to face the source, mentally cursing herself for not moving faster when she sees who it is. “Raong.” She says with a light sigh.
“I can’t believe I didn’t see you before! How long have you been here?” Raong attaches herself to Bada without a care in the world, missing how the older woman tries to avoid the touch.
Raong is the daughter of Dong-Geun, one of Bada’s oldest business partners. A while back, when he caught word of Bada being rumored to take over her deceased father’s gang, he’d offered one of his sons up as a potential suitor, trying to make her family. But of course, Bada immediately denied. Though she didn’t explain why at the time, Dong-Geun later found out it was because she wasn’t looking for male suitors.
Since then, he’d begun shoving his daughter at Bada, practically begging her to marry Raong. Bada refused once again, this time because she wasn’t looking for a spouse at the time–or ever. At least, that’s what she believed back then.
Eventually, after years of bothering her, Dong-Geun gave up, realizing it was better to keep Bada as a business partner rather than distance her from him by pushing his daughter onto her day after day.
But it seemed Raong never got the memo. Because although she only spoke to Bada a few times at most, she somehow managed to develop a puppy crush on the (much) older woman. She never left Bada alone at events, becoming a nuisance like no other and making Bada hesitant to make public appearances.
“I arrived about an hour ago.” Bada replies in a monotone voice.
“Really? That’s so long ago.” Raong says, making her eyes go wide in an attempt to look cute. Something that fails miserably.
Bada says nothing in response, instead lifting her glass of champagne up to her lips, about to take a sip of it when Raong suddenly grabs it.
“You really shouldn’t be drinking so much!” She pouts. “It’s bad for your health.”
“It’s champagne.” Bada deadpans, already feeling the soul being sucked out of her.
Raong smiles cheekily, glancing between the alcohol and Bada. “You’re right.” She lifts the glass up to her lips, placing them directly onto the spot Bada had hers on, and takes a big gulp of the drink. She pulls away with a proud look, holding the glass up for Bada to take. “Here.”
“No thank you.” Bada immediately answers, her face stone cold. “I’d rather get a new one.”
For some reason, her comment makes Raong laugh loudly–incredibly loud–to the point that other guests turn their heads in her direction, their expressions showing a mix between shock and disapproval.
“Bada, there’s no need to act so shy.” Raong says, completely oblivious to the negative attention she’s garnered. “We may be in public, but everyone knows that we’re the most attractive couple here.”
“Couple?” Bada scoffs. “Where did you get that from?” Out of instinct, her eyes move from Raong’s figure to search for yours. And when she does, a revelation like no other dawns upon her.
You’re standing in the middle of a circle of men and women like before, but instead of speaking to them, your eyes are solely focused on Bada–no, focused on Raong, who clings to her like a needy girlfriend. Your expression shows nothing but absolute discomfort and anger, a look Bada’s never seen you wear before.
You’re jealous. She realizes, the thought echoing in her head over and over again and making a strange, satisfied feeling build in her gut. You must be feeling like she’d been for the past few days while watching you and Hyo interact–full of resentment and annoyance at the woman touching her.
Then, another thought comes to mind. Will she act upon her jealousy if I push her more?
Bada knows she shouldn’t be this petty. As the older woman in the relationship, and the one more emotionally mature, she should put a stop to Raong’s advances, walk up to you, and whisk you away, ridding both of your sour feelings so you can enjoy the night together free from inhibition.
But the more sinful part of Bada wants you to fully understand how she’s felt the past few days–the turmoil and envy that comes from seeing someone you care about fall into the arms of someone else.
Unfortunately for you, Bada will almost always succumb to sin.
“Come on Bada, I know you feel something for me.” Raong pushes herself against the older woman’s arm, trying to make her breasts pop, and look enticing.
Although Bada feels nothing at the action, she plays along. “You’re right, I do.” She says in a low voice looking down to stare directly into Raong’s eyes.
Bada’s behavior even surprises her, the younger girl gapes for a bit before quickly switching back to her piss-poor attempt at being seductive. “I’m so glad you’ve finally realized we’re meant for each other.” Her voice pitches upwards, trying to do an aegyo voice.
The result only causes a nails-on chalkboard effect, almost making Bada wince and break her facade. But before she can, she quickly glances at you. You’re still staring at her, your expression now much further into the territory of anger, before you shift your gaze somewhere else hastily, trying to make it seem like you hadn’t been glaring at her and Raong.
“I’m sorry it’s taken me this long.” Bada turns back to Raong, playing the act up by tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
The action makes you gasp across the room, daggers physically puncturing your heart.
Bada hears the sound, and has to stop herself from smirking too widely. Yes, finally you understand how it feels.
Raong swoons at Bada’s display, turning away from her with blushing cheeks and giggling loudly.
“Hey, Boss!” Lusher suddenly appears on Bada’s other side, trying to look casual as she glances between Raong and her friend. “What are you doing?”
“What do you mean?” Bada says casually.
“I mean, why are you all over,” she lowers her voice to a whisper to say the next word, “the pest!”
“I’m not all over her, I’m simply being polite.” Bada mutters back, discreetly glancing at you yet again.
“Yeah, right. When have you ever been polite to her?” Lusher catches her straying gaze, finding you on the other side of it. Immediately, it all clicks in her mind. “If this is about what I said a few days ago–”
“Shouldn’t you be keeping a lookout right now?” Bada cuts her off sharply.
“Boss…” Lusher says in a disapproving tone. Her friend doesn’t budge, instead turning her back toward her and speaking to Raong again. Sensing the conversation is over, Lusher walks away with a pit of guilt burning in her stomach, seeing you struggle to hide your emotions as Bada pretends to fawn over the younger woman beside her.
“What’s going on?” Kirsten stops at Lusher’s side, her eyebrows dipping downward as she observes Bada’s strange behavior.
“I think I might have caused this.” Lusher admits, hanging her head in shame.
If someone were to ask you how you were feeling at the moment, the best word to describe it would be "out-of-body."
You truly feel like you’re watching the events in front of you unfold as an omnipotent being. Your eyes are able to take in every movement of both Bada and the girl on her arm to the finest detail, which proves to be a cruel form of torture.
Why is this happening? You find yourself questioning over and over again in your mind. Why is Bada acting this way? Why is she allowing that woman to touch her? And why does it look like she enjoys it?
You swear you feel bile form in your throat with every touch they exchange, and although there’s nothing more that you want to do than to run away in shame, you physically can’t. You’re rooted to the floor like a statue, cursed to watch your fiancée flirt with another woman.
Perhaps this is your fault for being so naive. Did you really think that Bada would remain loyal to you when your engagement had been a business deal from the start? When she so firmly stated that she’d never fall in love with you? How could you have believe that she felt something for you when she touched you so gently, smiled at you, and made you laugh?
Had Bada been secretly having affairs with women from the start? Had she touched them like she did, you? Did she mutter to them how beautiful they looked? Did she undress them with her eyes?
…How could you be so stupid–so young and stupid.
But the worst is yet to come.
You watch in slow motion as the woman beside Bada shifts on her feet, putting all her weight onto her tippy toes as she reaches up to place a kiss on your fiancée’s lips. They’re just about to touch–
“Alright kid, let’s go.” Hyo steps in front of you, blocking your view of Bada and the woman. She grabs onto your arm in a hurry, taking off her jacket and placing it on top of your head to shield you from any straying gazes as she fast-walks you out of the Nam-Su’s mansion, barely managing to tell Lusher that she’s taking you home before you’re out of the door, the only evidence of your attendance the droplets of small tears dotting the floor.
The entire car ride is dead silent, Hyo’s lips sealed tight into lines, and not a single sound coming from you in the backseat that she has to check every few minutes on you to make sure you’re still there.
You are, but your head is down, her suit jacket blocking her view of you as you fight back waves of tears building in your eyes.
“Bada, I have to tell you the truth, I’ve always been in love with you…” The second those words left Raong’s lips, and she began leaning upward in an attempt to kiss her, Bada knew she went too far.
She immediately breaks away from Raong’s hold, the disgusted face she’d been trying to hold back for so long surfacing in an instant. “What do you think you’re doing?”
“What do you mean?” Raong still keeps her voice artificially high, trying to get closer to Bada again. “Are you too shy to do it in public? Should we go somewhere private–”
“I will be going nowhere with you.” Bada interrupts in a stern voice, straightening out her suit. “I’m engaged.”
Raong’s smile finally drops, a sour look crossing her face. “So you really did propose to another woman.” She glances from the floor to Bada again, mustering up another embarrassing “sexy” look. “But it’s fine, she doesn’t have to know.”
Bada scowls at the younger woman. “I mean this in the most polite way possible,” she watches as Raong starts to frown, “I would never choose you, or any other woman over my fiancée. She is the only woman I will ever touch, or kiss.”
Raong stands in front of Bada, frozen and humiliated beyond belief.
“I suggest you stop making advances toward me, if you know what’s good for you.” Bada finally says the words she’s been wanting to for years now, and it’s like a weight has been lifted off of her shoulders. She leaves Raong standing there without a second thought, heading in your direction before she stops, realizing you’re not there anymore.
Her eyebrows furrow, an immediate spike of worry hitting her heart as she searches for Lusher through the crowd of partygoers.
When she finds her friend, she walks as quickly as possible towards her. “Where did she go?” Bada says, looking from one side of the room to the other in a frenetic manner.
Lusher glances at Kirsten who stands next to her, hesitating before answering. “Hyo took her home…”
Bada’s eyes narrow to slits in milliseconds. “Lusher, I’m taking your car.”
The Lee mansion feels eerily quiet when Bada enters, the lights reflecting off the white marble flooring, casting an ominous glow as she ascends the stairs.
Although she knows the mess she’s caused is purely her own fault, a part of her wants to deny it. She wants to call it retribution for all the mental torment she’s experienced over the past few days.
She wants to call it that, but she knows she can’t.
Standing in front of your door, Bada’s eyes find Hyo’s figure with ease. Your bodyguard is wearing her classic sunglasses again, but this time she doesn’t greet her superior. She doesn’t even acknowledge her presence, simply stands there, her lips in a firm line with her arms crossed against her chest.
Bada briefly considers speaking with Hyo, but eventually decides against it, knowing she should check on you first, before anything else. Her hand reaches up to knock on the wood of your door, the sound echoing through the hallway as she retracts her fist.
She waits there for about three minutes with no response before pushing the door open and entering your bedroom.
Most of the lights have been turned off, just one raining down a small amount of light and illuminating the room. Bada closes the door behind her, the guilt that had already been brewing in her stomach doubling when she notices you’re not in bed, but sitting in front of your vanity with your dress still on, staring at your reflection with an emotionless expression.
Bada mutters your name, stopping a few feet away from you. “I knocked on your door, did you hear me?”
You don’t respond, only continue to stare at your reflection, completely disregarding her presence.
Bada frowns at you, clearly disappointed by your silence. “You shouldn’t have left so suddenly. I was worried about you.” This time, she sees something shift in your eyes, but still, you remain quiet and stock still. Bada huffs, becoming increasingly frustrated as she gets closer to you, stopping right by your side. “Is that Hyo’s jacket?” She gestures to your bodyguard’s suit that’s strewn across your shoulders.
This time when you don’t answer her, Bada finally snaps, releasing the tension that’d been brewing in her for so long.
“Would you say something to me?” She says, the words coming out much harsher than she intended them to.
Your lips stay stuck together for a minute before they finally part. “What do you want me to say, Bada?” Your voice sounds an equal mix of tired, and uncharacteristically cold. “You made yourself perfectly clear at the ball.”
Your fiancée stares at you from through the reflection of the mirror, trying to lock eyes with you. “Why are you acting this way?”
“Why am I acting this way?” You scoff, rolling your eyes. “You shouldn’t ask such obvious questions.”
“I’m asking because I don’t know.” She lies through her teeth. She does know, and despite that she continues to push you, wanting to hear you say the words, “I’m jealous.”
“You know, if you wanted to fool around with other women, the least you could do was take it somewhere private where I wouldn’t have to see.” You shoot back, tone bordering on venomous.
“I wasn’t fooling around with her.” Bada denies firmly. “And you’re one to talk.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” You finally look away from the mirror, turning to face Bada with a furious expression.
“Hyo took you home.” Your fiancée lists. “You’re wearing her jacket. She took photos of you while we were at a public event. You’ve been spending a lot of time with her.”
“Oh please, spare me, Bada Lee,” you interrupt, your voice rising. “She’s my bodyguard! And I don’t touch her like you touched that woman. I haven’t kissed her–”
“I didn’t kiss Raong,” Bada interjects.
“I spend so much time with her because all you do is work all day!” You continue ranting. “I have never once disrespected you like you just did to me thirty minutes ago.”
“It’s not like that–” Bada tries to explain herself, but now that you’re speaking, you can’t stop.
“I know you said that you would never fall in love with me, but what the fuck?” You exclaim. “How could you just kiss her in front of all of those people when you introduced me as your fiancée?”
“I didn’t kiss her.” Bada reiterates, feeling her patience wear thin.
“Some of the guests know my parents!” You’re bordering on tears once again. “Can you imagine what they’ll think when they hear that my future wife kissed another woman in front of the most influential people in South Korea?”
“God damn it–” Bada steps forward, her frustration finally getting the better of her as she grabs you by the waist, pulling you flush against her body, forcing you to look into her eyes. "I never kissed Raong," she says again, her voice full of force. "I would never kiss her. I would never kiss a woman that isn't you."
Silence falls heavily across the room, your expression shifting from anger, to confusion, then to surprise.
“If you believe there is another woman out there that I would rather press my lips against, you’re crazy.” She whispers.
You stare into Bada’s eyes, completely taken aback by the sudden turn of events before your eyes slip downwards, to where her lips are.
Bada does the same, although she takes it a step further, bringing her thumb up to press onto your bottom lip, watching the plush skin accommodate for the pressure she applies.
“I want you,” she mutters inches away from your lips. “I’ve wanted you from the moment I met you.”
As if an invisible string had been snapped, both you and Bada surge forward, placing your lips against each other with unrestrained passion. Bada’s right hand grabs onto the side of your face, tilting your head backward as you two move in synch, completely lost in the taste of each other. She pulls you in even closer to the point that your chests knock against each other with every labored breath, the desire between you two so strong that you can’t help but moan.
Bada hears the sound and feels a pulse go straight to her cunt, the build-up to this simple kiss being so long that she can’t help but revel in it. She bites down on your lip and the second you part your lips to gasp, she slips her tongue into your mouth.
Your teeth clash in a heated dance, your tongues caressing each others as Bada turns you around so your back is toward the direction of your bed, walking you backward quickly so that you fall onto it, your body laid out on the cushion like a fallen angel. She follows you onto the bed, keeping herself above you with a single hand as she continues to kiss you deeply, a small string of saliva falling from your lips because of your sloppiness.
Bada’s other hand busies itself by grabbing onto your exposed thigh and hiking it against her hip, pushing her thigh between the gap of yours. Finally she pulls away, both of you panting loudly into the open air of the room. “Fuck.” Bada curses. “I’ve been wanting to do that for so long.”
Your arms wrap around her shoulders, wanting to kiss her again because of her confession.
“I bet you’ve wanted to too, huh?” She smirks, leaning down to just barely graze her lips against yours, not quite giving you what you want. “That’s why you got so jealous when you thought I kissed Raong, right?”
You huff at Bada’s words, hearing that woman’s name you frustrates you.
“Oh, are you mad?” She taunts you, laughing. “Yeah, you’re really mad aren’t you?” The hand that’d been stationed on your thigh moves under the fabric of your dress and inwards, towards your hot and sticky pussy. “You’re mad because you imagined me touching her like this, didn’t you?” Her fingers ghost against the material of your underwear, already finding a wet patch forming at the bottom of it.
Bada smirks widely. She’s got you right where she wants you.
“Did you imagine me touching her through her panties?” Bada’s fingers move up and down the wet patch, making it grow with every passing second.
You bite your lip, trying hard to suppress your moans at the feeling of your finacée’s long fingers touching you where you need her most.
“Did you imagine me playing with her pussy and making her moan like a whore?” Bada nudges her nose with yours, enjoying every second of your withering composure. “Huh? Are you going to say something?”
You shake your head, wanting to deny the fact that you indeed had imagined all those things in your blind fit of jealousy, which only made you spiral further.
“No?” Bada whispers in a higher-pitched voice, trying to mimic you.
You don’t respond.
“Say something.” She demands, her voice dropping and her eyes narrowing into a glare. It lacks any real hatred or heat but does burn with sexual desire. “Say something or I’ll leave you here wet and panting bitch in heat.”
You finally release your lip, completely believing that she’d leave you like this. “No, please,” you whimper quietly.
“Ah, she speaks.” Bada smiles, continuing to circle your clit with her fingers, now applying more pressure. “Now tell me, did you imagine any of those things I described to you?”
Again you grow quiet, embarrassment flooding your veins.
Bada’s smile drops in an instant. “What did I say?” She withdraws her hand from your clit, moving it back toward your thigh.
“Wait–” you cry out, looking completely in anguish. “I did! I did!”
Bada hums in approval, placing her fingers against your underwear again. “Which one?”
“I–” The words die on your tongue, the small pressure that Bada’s applying to you making your sensitive body go haywire.
“Which one?” She says again firmly.
“The–the last one!”
“Oh baby,” Bada pouts mockingly, “that’s not good enough. Tell me exactly which one.”
“I imagined you playing with her pussy.” You admit, feeling more shame in that moment than you ever had before.
“Good job, babe.” She praises you. “You finally got the words out. Should I give you a reward?”
“Yes, please,” you practically beg.
“Well since you asked so nicely,” Bada looks at you through hooded eyes, smirking. She pulls away the material of your panties and inserts her finger, your hot, wet walls sucking her in compliantly.
"Bada!" You all but scream, your legs jerking in pleasure.
"You're so wet," Your finacée whispers, hearing the sheer amount of slickness your body produces. "Is this all for me?"
"All for you, Bada." You immediately reply, tears beginning to build in your eyes.
"Good." Pumping her finger agonizingly slow, Bada flips the fabric of your dress up so she can watch your pussy open and close, beating against her finger in a fast rhythm.
"Bada–" You whine, closing your eyes and trying to move against her long, firm finger. "Touch me more, please."
"Yeah? You want more?" Bada says, continuing her slow pace.
"Yes." You cry.
"But do you think you deserve it?" She asks, glancing between your wrecked pussy to your face, which is beautifully expressive.
“I don’t kn–” you hesitate, “yes, I do.”
“I don’t know.” Bada cocks her head to the side, staring at you deeply. “You spoke to me very rudely just moments before.” She makes a thoughtful expression before looking down at you again. “I think you should apologize.”
“I’m sorry–” you begin, but she cuts you off immediately.
“You should apologize for wearing this dress to the ball.” Bada insists. “For looking so fucking sexy and letting everyone eye fuck you while I had to stand there and watch.”
“I’m s–”
“Apologize for making me think you and Hyo were fooling around behind my back.”
At this point you’re so far gone and dizzy, you don’t even fully register what she’s saying, only that you’re desperate for her to touch you more.
“I’m sorry for everything, Bada.” You say through heaving breaths.
Your fiancée gives you a satisfied smile. “I accept your apology, baby.”
Wasting no more time, Bada dives in with an almost inhumane speed, placing her mouth against you, and letting her tongue part your pussy lips as she drives it straight into you. She's rewarded with another loud, pornographic moan as she begins to slurp your juices up, volatile sounds coming from her mouth, and your slick pussy.
Bada’s nose presses against your clit in a dreadfully delicious way, stimulating it and making your legs shake around her head.
“Bada!” You chant her name like a prayer, feeling insane amounts of pleasure you never thought you’d experience in your lifetime.
She mumbles something back, the words lost against the skin of your pussy as she moves her tongue in and out of you faster, adjusting her grip around your thighs so she presses even more of your weight onto her.
Bada pulls away with a heaving breath, her chest rising and falling at a concerning speed. But she doesn't stop, she never does, and before you know it she's diving back in, licking and sucking on your pearly-shaped clit, giving you dizzying pleasure.
She flicks her tongue a few more times, dragging her lips and pressing them firmly down until she's driving her tongue back into your pussy, and moving her tongue around your walls, sucking up all the wetness you produce.
And there's tons of it—some of it is dripping down Bada’s chin in a nasty combination with her spit, the murky substance stickily beading down until it drops onto her clavicle.
"Oh fuck," you moan, your head being thrown back with your mounting pleasure. Although it felt like she’d just started, you already feel an orgasm building in the depths of your stomach. "I think I'm gonna cum!"
Briefly popping off your pussy, Bada's raspy voice speaks up. "Do it. Drench me baby, fucking cream all over my face."
Your world goes white for a long moment, your fiancée’s chants egging you on, telling you to just let the pleasure consume you. So you let it happen, you let your pussy throb and release its slick all over Bada’s face.
Quiteness follows your orgasm, but the buzzing in your ears doesn't leave you alone, nor does your bride-to-be.
“Oh baby,” Bada’s head backs away from your body, the lower half of her face absolutely drenched in your cum. She licks her lips, savoring every droplet of your essence, “you taste like a fucking dream.”
“Bada.” You whine, her words making your pussy go hot again. “Don’t say things like that.”
“What? You don’t want me to tell you how pretty your pussy is?” She leans over your face again, wiping your cum off her face with her fingers and licking it after. “Don’t want me to tell you that I could die a happy woman between your legs?”
You wrap your legs around Bada’s waist, pulling her in closer so you can give her a kiss. She lets you, thankfully, and on her tongue you can taste yourself, which makes you moan.
When she pulls away she’s wearing a much more tender look, like your kiss had brought her back from a trance. “I’m not done with you yet.” She whispers, bringing her hands down to grope your tits through the fabric of your dress.
Although it’s late and you’re already tired, you still nod at her, slipping into a submissive state yet again.
Bada smiles at you before completely getting off of the bed, making you stare up at the ceiling in confusion. You prop yourself up on your elbows to see what she’s doing, and what you see is nothing short of heavenly.
Bada’s stripped herself of her tie, her customized suit jacket, and is now only in a white dress shirt–but not for long. She chucks off the wrinkled shirt, revealing the black sports bra she was wearing under, and… a pair of muscled arms and abs?
You shouldn’t be surprised, really. Naturally, as the leader of a mafia group, she’s required to stay relatively lean and strong, yet every divot and curve of her muscles makes you want to jump her bones even more.
Bada doesn’t even realize you’re staring, she’s much too busy taking off her pants, now only in her sports bra and her boxers, with something else in her hand. She looks up then, finding you practically gaping at her, making her smirk.
“Already have you star-struck and I haven’t even started yet.” She chuckles, taking the thing in her hand and placing it closer to the ground so she can step through it.
It’s then your eyes focus in on it, realizing that–oh.
A long, girthy black strap sits across Bada’s pelvis. Your eyes widen, your heart racing a the monstrous length and girth of her strap, as well as the texture and ridges on it. You weren't just going to be fucked, you were going to be absolutely destroyed.
“When did you–” your voice dies out, completely lost for words.
“I made a stop to my bedroom before coming here,” Bada answers easily. “Call it wishful thinking, but I felt I’d need it.” She grabs a bottle of lube from the pocket of her dress pants, about to apply some to her cock when she sees movement out of her peripheral and stops.
Absolutely mesmerized, you crawl over to Bada, the material of your dress slightly pulled up so she can trace the curve of your plump ass.
Reaching out an excited hand, you grasp the base of her cock, and open your lips wide before placing them on the mushroom head of her strap.
Immediately Bada drops the lube, her head dropping down in awe to watch you lick and suck on her cock, her jaw falling open. "Fuck." She grabs your head softly, helping you move up and down, her eyes rolling shut. For a second Bada feels like the strap attached to her really is her cock, and that she can feel your plump lips move against it, bringing her unbridled pleasure.
Your slobber drips all the way down her strap and wets her grey boxers, the material turning a damp shade darker. Bada pulls you down her cock gently, trying to avoid gagging you too harshly, but she can't deny the jolt in her cunt when she hears you struggle to take the inches, a slight choking sound murmuring against the black plastic.
"You like that, don’t you?" Bada finally gathers her bearings enough to speak again.
Your eyes glisten with tears as you nod, moving off of her cock to gasp out a breath. "Please, can't wait any longer."
"Okay, baby." Bada nods, giving into your wants easily and moving on top of you again. "I’m going to make you feel so good, honey." Taking her slick cock, she gently guides it to your pussy. "Open wide."
You immediately comply and spread your legs as wide as you can, watching with parted and panting breaths how your fiancée finally nudges the head of her cock into your pussy.
Slick and wide, her cock splits your pussy open only with its mushroom head inserted, making you let out a debauched and loud moan, the sound reverberating against the walls and filling every pore in the room.
"Shit." Bada curses, feeling herself come to a stop with how hard you're clenching down on her strap. "You've gotta relax, pretty. You're very tight."
Huffing, you attempt to relax your muscles, and slowly but surely, she’s able to nudge in another inch or two before you start clenching down hard again. Her thumb comes up to your clit and rubs it gently, making your eyes close and another moan slip from your lips.
"C'mon babe, take a nice deep breath in and relax." Bada guides you, rubbing your clit with slightly more force, and at a faster speed.
"Okay." You choke out, taking in a long and shaky breath.
She feels you loosen a bit, and again she takes the chance to slide her cock further inside you, and she's finally able to slip it all in. She breathes out a long, drawn-out curse when all she's able to see of the black plastic is the small sliver of the base.
"There you go." Bada pulls her hand up to your thighs, squishing their flesh in her grip and rubbing soothing circles into them.
Your pussy clenches at your finacée’s raspy praise, a strangled whine leaving your lips. "Bada—"
"Shhh," Bada moves forward, even able to push slightly more of the strap into you as she reaches over to give you a sweet kiss, shushing your loud cries. "I've got you. Promised I was gonna make you feel good, remember?"
"Mhmm." You hum, your eyes sparkling.
"I'm not going to let my wife down." Bada keeps to her promise and begins moving, her strap slowly pulling out of your wet pussy, then firmly coming back in and making your back arch.
"Holy shit." You awe, your mouth falling open. She hadn't even started yet. Bada then begins to pick up her pace slowly, pulling and pushing through your pussy's walls, the base of her strap slapping against your lower lips and making loud sounds fill the room.
"Damn it," Bada curses, her eyes drinking in the sight of you. Plump lips parted open, eyebrows furrowed in pleasure, your dress falling so that your tits are spilling out and bouncing in kind with her harsh thrusts.
Leaning forward, Bada takes a nipple into her mouth, her unoccupied hand grabbing and caressing the other, her eyes falling closed at the feeling of your tit in her mouth. Fuck, if she knew she could have had you like this long ago, she wouldn’t have waited so long.
But in a weird way, the wait made it even more satisfying, made the sounds of your pornographic moans even more sweet to Bada’s ears.
"Bada!" There's not a single thought in your mind anymore, the space being occupied by the woman who is thrusting into your pussy at a dizzying speed, and covering your tits in her spit. The woman who swore she would never fall in love with you. The woman who’d risked her life to save you from kidnappers. Your fiancée.
Bada's mouth leaves your nipple with an obscene pop, the flesh around it slightly bruised a darker color from her sucking. "Does that feel good baby?"
"It feels so good." You almost scream, your eyes now opening to see Bada’s frantic thrusts, and how sweat is starting to form on the arches of her brows. "You're so good."
Bada closes her eyes, your words going straight to her cunt. "It's about to get a whole lot better." She leans forward again, this time grabbing your legs and folding them up, then pushing them as far as they can into your chest, giving her uninhibited access to your pussy.
You're seeing stars, you're sure of it. Bada's cock is lodged so deep in you, you swear you feel her in your stomach, your eyes widening to the size of saucers. She pounds into you at an incomparable speed, wet, sloshy sounds squirting from your pussy, making a beautiful melody with your moans, and Bada’s low groans.
A ring of cream begins to form around the base of her strap, the milky white substance catching her attention and making her teeth grit painfully against each other. "Are you close?"
"Yes, yes! Don't—don't stop!" You cry out, your bedroom ceiling moving in your vision with every thrust of her strap.
Bada's breath catches, feeling the stimulation of her strap rubbing and pushing against her cunt build up into an orgasm. "Fuck, me too." She dips down to give you a purely tongue kiss before pulling away, panting. "Cum. Fucking cum, honey. Cum all over me."
And you do. Your mind goes blank and you let out your loudest, most obscene moan and cum on Bada's cock.
She follows close behind, letting out a low and drawn-out groan, cumming in her boxers.
Your body becomes liquid against your sheets, the only sound in the now quiet room being your staggered breath, and your fiancée’s panting.
Kissing your ankle, Bada gently unfolds your legs, making sure to be careful as she lays them back against her bedsheets and slowly pulls some of her strap out of you. You wince a bit and let out a choked whine, which she quickly silences with a sweet kiss and mumbled praises.
"It's alright, honey. You're good, you're with me." Eventually, Bada's able to fully usher her cock out of your still-tight walls and take off her harness, throwing her strap into some random, unimportant corner of the room. "Great job. You were so good, my love."
"Bada." You croak without thought.
"Yeah, honey?" Bada coos, caressing your cheek with her rough thumb.
"I'm tired."
“I know, sweet girl.” She mumbles, placing her forehead against your own. “Catch your breath, okay? I’ll clean you up. You don’t have to do anything.” Staying there for only a few more seconds, Bada sits up and walks to your bathroom, grabbing a towel and running it under some water before returning to you. She gently parts your legs, shushing any hisses of pain that leave your lips as she cleans you up, and helps you out of your tight dress.
Once you’re rid of your clothing, she moves to sit next to you.
“How are you feeling now?” She asks, staring down at you with nothing but love in her eyes.
“Sore.” You admit.
“Already?” Bada looks down at your legs, frowning. “Here,” She places her large hand on your thigh, slowly kneading your flesh in soothing circles, making you let out small, blissful sighs. “Does this help?”
“Yes.” You nod, smiling at her before closing your eyes. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome, honey.” A comfortable silence settles into the air between you two before your finacée breaks it. “About before,” she suddenly begins, her voice low and remorseful. “I’m sorry for what I did.”
You stare at her quietly, then speak up. “Why did you do it?”
Bada looks down at your body and sighs. “I wanted you to understand how I felt.”
“What do you mean?”
She shifts her gaze to your eyes. “I’ve been jealous of you and Hyo for days now.”
“Hyo?” You say incredulously. “Wait, is this about her taking me home? Because she only did that to stop me from seeing you and that woman kiss.”
“It’s not just because of that.” Bada shakes her head. “You two have gotten very close recently, and I didn’t know how to feel about it.” She closes her eyes, reaching deep within her to find the right words. “I guess I felt envious because she can spend all her day with you, while I’m constrained to my limited free time to see you.”
Slowly, the wheels in your cogs start to turn, and suddenly everything makes sense. “Bada, Hyo is like an older sister to me.” You tell her. “I don’t see her in that way.”
Your fiancée opens her eyes, staring at you with a mildly surprised look. “Really?”
“Yes, really.” You nod.
“Oh, I see.” Bada moves her hands to your other thigh, starting to massage it. “I don’t see Raong in any romantic light either, by the way. I’ve been trying to get her off my back for years.”
“Well, clearly she doesn’t understand.” You huff.
The action is so cute, Bada can’t help but laugh. “Believe me, she understands now.” When you give her a confused look, she elaborates. “When she tried to kiss me, I told her I had a fiancée.”
Bada’s words make you smile shyly, butterflies dancing in your tummy.
“And…” She trails off, a soft smile also finding her lips. “I told her that I’m in love with my fiancée, and I would never so much as think about devoting myself to anyone other than her.”
The l word that falls from Bada’s lips makes your eyes grow impossibly wide, and your lips part in astonishment. She watches it all, never shifting her expression away from being loving.
“Bada…” you trail off, tears in your eyes. “I love you too.”
Gazing into the other’s eyes, you meet halfway in a sweet kiss, one that seals your love, and commitment to each other.
“You are my everything,” Bada mumbles against your lips. “I will always succumb to you.”

yandere dc: meeting camgirl! darling <3 pt. 1
have you ever wondered if...
the batboys and conner k. have met cam girl! reader?
The answer is..... yes! She has met most of them, but the same cannot be said to the other poor precious viewers of hers ;( feel very bad to the other members of the young justice and teen titans for that.
Warning for everyone: darling and my headcanons is sooooo unserious, and darling is probably a gen z-er whose referencing too much tiktok trends 😭 be warned
and anywho, these are my headcanons for their meetings <33
please repost i luv you >0!!!
₍ᐢ. .ᐢ₎
ᵈⁱᶜᵏ ᵍʳᵃʸˢᵒⁿ ᵃᵏᵃ, 'ⁿⁱᵍʰᵗʷⁱⁿᵍ':
one of our witty girl's most biggest and annoying dedicated fans in her stream! (He ranks 3rd in donating, and 1st in annoyance)
this man is LOADED with money, and knowing how darling can get greedy sometimes... yk what happens.
(not like he has any complain tho, as long as her attentions on him, shes allowed to take, take, take, take, and take from him <3)
How he met her fr is during on one of his late night patrols in bludhaven, he finds her on one of the empty streets in the city.
He gasps, very worried but so so excited.
'Bunny! :0' is what this man immediately thinks. Its his term of endearment for you, for looking so innocent and soft... yet so fierce and mischievious once known. (Live you is CRAZY.)
But 'Bunny', after seeing the man in blue and black latex, stood so still to the point of looking like this: 🧍♀️
You and him had a staring contest, so awkward and silenttt
Tho he snaps out of his train of thoughts when you finally, start to move.
Nightwing: !!!?!?!??
Darling: ....👋👋
nightwing: ...oh--
The hero of bludhaven could only pout inward, your normally so talkative and so very sharp tongued, so why wont you talk to him like you always do bunny? :( (this man forgot hes in his nightwing persona for a sec 🤦)
Turns out, our dear is very awkward when around people :( (or atleast to strangers face to face, bc she has absolutely ZERO shame when it comes to online people and her friends-- or that depends idk bc girly is unpredictable)
Anyways, before he could speak up, you ran away.
Nightwing was very worried, so he stalked followed you as you make your way back home.
Once you locked your doors and go to sleep, he takes a sigh of relief... but not before pulling out his phone and taking a picture of your address and place.
<3 what a nice little home his darling has.
(From that point on, you see this man in both his hero and civilian persona almost too often for your taste.)
Darlings pov on dick is that hes pretty f*cking annoying, and nightwing is 100 times worse
Fun fact: you often throw things at him, curse at him, or sometimes even FLASH at him whenever hes nightwing.
(he once tripped on a slime you threw and he fell straight down to a garbage can. Whoops.)
you think hes lame sauce and cringe af
you also think hes the type to say 'Golly' Unironically. (Hmm maybe u should start calling him that 😈)
Darling seeing dick/nightwing on top of the roof of another house infront of her own: go home you sicko 😾
Nightwing literally camped on top of it with the rest of the batboys visiting him + watching darling also: 🏃♂️🧍♀️🧍♀️🧍♀️ (minus a running jason since he CANNOT be caught watching her as he has the 2nd best relationship with her in his hero identity)
Yandere rating: 100% on money, ∞% for nuisance, 50% for humor (-100% as nightwing sadly)
ᓚ₍ ^. .^₎
ʲᵃˢᵒⁿ ᵗᵒᵈᵈ ᵃᵏᵃ 'ʳᵉᵈ ʰᵒᵒᵈ':
ofc this man is one of her favorites 😒 darling really has both the worst and at the same time, most interesting taste in men.
Hes in your top 10 on donations, but he can be very busy sometimes ;(
(Huhu but dont u worry, he makes up for it by giving u ur well deserved hundred grand before flying away to the next big battle he has <3)
In civilian, he prolly met u loitering around wayne manor's gates
(Dont ask how darling LIVES in bludhaven, yet is also in gotham 💀)
Your pretty face, so familiar, he recognizes you almost immediately even in his disheveled state in the morning.
...you were that p*rnstar. 😦 (ps: u middle fingered at him after hearing dat)
"--hey, okay, i'm sorry for saying that-" after hearing his apology, you put down your raised fists and eyed him. From head to... waistline actually his dick as you see the very scrumptious outline of it even through his baggy pants.
His eyes follows yours and-- hes flustered! Your such a perv, really, even when not in front of your screen you still do things like this?! >:( (not that hes complaining... he knows u like what u see and maybe wears these types of pants just in case u show up somewhere miraculously like today-)
"...You--" he sighs, pinching his nose. Its so early in the morning and your already at work in spreading chaos--- oh.
He stares down below him, feeling your arms hug him with a sweet smile on your face.
He gets hard a bit. God your even more beautiful face to face--
"Teehee, i always wanted to meet one of my fans :D especially you, mr. Big ;)"
...ah, he feels a lot warmer all of a sudden, the faintest red staining his cheeks. You... your such a cheeky little--
"Hey stop THAT!!--" he shouts, as you snuggle him aggressively >:)
(After that, he gives you some hefty money, and you feel very blessed afterwards and asked if hed liked a 'hawk tuah' as a reward)
...he dont know wtf is a hawk tuah. "You and your weird trends..." he groans, but watches you run around. like a playful little kitty.
If your a bunny to dick, then your a small little kitten to him. It makes more sense, you arent fit to be a bunny, your way too loud to be one--
"Hey i heard that >:(" he sees you stomp your feet.
...okay, maybe then just a little bit. Just a little...
Yandere rating: 89% on money, 5% for nuisance, 85% for humor (90% as red hood <3)
(everyone there will be a pt. 2 for tim damian conner and terry so stay tuned 😍)
(update: i think of rewriting this bc pt. 2 is so serious compared to this 😭 i think i was also high)

okokokok lorenzo berkshire idea??? your writing is so so good you def do him justice 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼☺️
enzo really likes you and all his friends know (maybe reader is in another house .. personally i’m hufflepuff but it really could be any) and they all flirt w you bc his friends know it gets to him and while reader is polite they don’t really encourage(??) the boys’ jokes/flirting bc they only have eyes for enzo too
possibly ending up together !!
i’m turning into such an enzo girly fr 😭💕💕💕 ilhsm
ugh, i have fallen in love with enzo so much, my little lanky broad boy 🥺 also, my requests are closed right now but I wrote it anyway because it was the last thing in my ask before i can get started on my other projects so no worries love x
You weren't really sure what happened, what changed and started making people act differently toward you, but it seemed like for the past two weeks a certain group of boys were paying you more attention.
So here you sat at lunch, deep in conversation with Luna when she suddenly cut you off, "You're being approached again." Her soft tone made it seem nonchalant, but when Mattheo Riddle sat down on the bench next to you the redness in your cheeks was apparent.
"Good morning, Princess. You look absolutely gorgeous this morning," Mattheo grabbed a piece of toast from the pile in front of him before picking up a knife to spread jam over it.
"Thank you, Mattheo, that's very kind of you," You cheeks burned further when he placed the toast on your plate for you before placing a few sausages on it as well.
Mattheo smiled at you, "I know you've got a big test this morning, you should eat well. Though I know you're brilliant so you don't really need any extra help."
You smiled shyly as you took a bite of toast. "Can I walk you to class, beautiful?" You nodded, not seeing a reason to tell him no. He was a gentleman, carrying your books for you, telling you to have a good class before seeing you off through the doorway.
During lunch you were approached again, however by a different member of the same friend group. Theo Nott approached you on your way to the Great Hall for lunch.
"Ciao, bella," Theo's eyes were definitely captivating. A light sea blue that often spoke all of the emotion he never let his face really tell.
"Hello, Theo," you smiled lightly as the tall boy slowed to your pace. "Could I sit with you at lunch?" His tone was gentle and sweet, so you nodded, giving him permission.
He wrapped an arm around your shoulders as you two entered the hall. If you were more aware of your surroundings, you'd notice Theo chance a side glance toward his own house's table. However you were too in shock that a second boy, a second handsome boy, was not only paying you mind but also eating another meal with you.
Theo was a lot funnier than you expected, making you truly belly, head thrown back laugh. You were surprised that you got along with him, but your humor seemed to be so similar and building off each other.
He asked if he could walk you to your afternoon classes and you accepted. He kept his arms around your shoulders again, continuing to make you laugh the whole way.
After classes were finished and dinner was over with, you and Luna went to the library. You tried your hardest to focus but you couldn't take your mind off of everything the happened earlier today.
"Luna," you called your friends name causing her to look at you, "did you think today was weird?"
Luna smiled happily, "Every day is weird if you look hard enough." You huffed out a sigh, "No, Lunes, I mean, wasn't it weird how nice Mattheo and Theo were to me today. Like, why today? They see me all the time. What's different now. I didn't do my hair differently, what did I do to make them so nice to me?"
Luna sat for a moment, seemingly thinking about her answer, "Are you asking because you think they should be mean to you, or because you wished it was another one of their friends being so nice to you?"
You felt your face pinken for the umpteenth time that day, "Who do you mean? I don't know what you mean..." You knew you sounded unconvincing, but you didn't think you had made it that obvious.
"Lorenzo is actually sitting over there if you want to talk to him," Luna's statement gave you the answer you needed, and also made your stomach fill with butterflies.
But after today, you couldn't hold back any longer. When you got up you saw Enzo a few tables away, his back facing you. You left your belongings at the table with Luna, walking quickly but quietly to where the real boy of your desires resided.
You pulled out the chair across from Enzo, causing him to jump slightly at the sudden movement. When you sat your started immediately speaking, barely giving him time to even register that the girl of his year long affection was finally in front of him.
"Why didn't you come up to me today?" Your question kind of stunned him, Enzo continuing to look at you with a dumbfounded expression.
You let out an exasperated sigh, "Why were two of your closest friends so nice to me today, why did they make me breakfast and walk me to class and put their arms around me?"
The more you spoke of his friends doing, the tighter Enzo's grip was on his quill, tighter and tighter until it finally snapped in his grasp. You let out a small gasp.
"I-I'm sorry. They were doing it to upset me. T-to make me, man up, as they put it," Enzo was playing with the two pieces of his quill, doing anything and everything but looking at you.
You reached across the table, doing your best to cover both his large hands with one of your smaller ones to stop the action. Enzo looked up, meeting your gaze, "Why were they trying to upset you, Enzo?"
Still looking you in the eyes, Enzo took a deep breath, "Well, because I, erm, I fancy you, Y/n. Have for some time. But you're just...Merlin, you're so pretty and whenever I get near you I forget how to speak properly and I lose my train of thought."
You looked at him with a goofy grin, "You think I'm pretty? You...fancy me?"
Enzo mirrored your smile, "Well, yeah. How could I not?" He laced his fingers with yours now.
"Well, then I guess their juvenile plan worked," you traced the top of Enzo's hand with your thumb. When he tilted his head in slight confusion, you gave him a further explanation, "I fancy you too, silly."
Enzo's face made a small 'o' before a huge grin broke over his face, "Do you think that, erm, may then, ehm, you would like to go to Hogsmead with me this weekend?"
You nodded enthusiastically, "I would love to."
"Great, wonderful, fantastic. Okay well, erm, I'm going to, just, go tell the guys if that's okay?" He stood abruptly, making his chair squeak slightly and a few other students look your way.
He was much taller than you now, him standing and you sitting. You had to crane your neck to look up at him properly but you smiled, nodding your head to tell him it was okay to tell his friends.
"Okay, well I guess I'll see you tomorrow? Breakfast together?" he asked, you nodded again, then Enzo did something neither of you expected him to do. He leaned down, placing a chaste kiss to your cheek.
You knew your face turned red instantly, Enzo's turning a similar shade. As he walked out of the library, you made your way back to your friend.
"So are you and Enzo accompanying Blaise and I these weekend?" Luna asked without looking up from her studies.
"Yeah, yeah we are," you smiled to yourself, still unable to get your work done, but now for a perfectly acceptable reason.

Hey love if u cud do a piece of yuu nishinoya x reader where it’s enemies to lovers where they constantly argue ( fr can’t find any nishinoya enemies to lovers fics)
I HATE YOUR GUTS!! - nishinoya yuu (hq)
you and nishinoya argue like it’s your last day on earth. God forbid you get any peace from that loud mouth and nishinoya feels the same about you. these arguments end up as something else however…
contents: enemies to lovers, gn!reader, angst, fluff, not accurate to the hq timeline, reader has a small crush on daichi, fake friends, academic achiever reader, nishinoya hating someone is crazy, ennoshita fan service (jk)
word count: 1k
a/n: I hope I did it justice!!! :3 Kinda nervy but I love noya #noya4eva
Nishinoya Yuu is loved by all, especially the ladies.
He’s friendly, outgoing, and considerate. It’s so easy to get on his good side. It can be the same on his good side as it can be on his bad side. Nishinoya considers himself the best friend you can ask for, but if you say or make the wrong move, you’re done.
Unfortunately, Nishinoya doesn’t just not like this person; he hates them.
It’s not even rivalry; it’s pure hatred.
"Look, it’s y/n!” He overhears what his peers say. Looking up to the end of the hall, sure enough, it’s you. Nishinoya grimaces and rolls his eyes. As you were nearing his view, you also had a look of disgust. His face just ticked you off, and you turned your face away, making a tsk sound.
Nishinoya grumbles and shouts, “The hell did you say?!” You stopped walking and faced him. “I literally said nothing! You’re imagining things!” “Oh yeah?! I know what I heard!” You groan, “UGH! You’re so annoying!” “So are you!” You furrowed your brows. “Me? Annoying? You’re the most obnoxious person I’ve ever met!”
Nishinoya takes a step forward and says, “You’re more obnoxious than anyone I know!” “You have like one friend.” “I DO NOT!” You roll your eyes while shaking your head. You begin to walk away, with Nishinoya continuing to shout at you.
“What the-! Get back here!” “Sorry! My friends are waiting for me!” Nishinoya growls, then stomps right into his classroom.
You wouldn’t consider yourself popular, but you kind of were. Mostly because of how smart you are. You’re humble about it, but you never fail to rub it in Nishinoya’s face.
And that pisses him off.
“We can hear you guys shouting from below.”
Daichi states this with a serious expression. Nishinoya pouts, “They had it coming!” “Seriously?” Daichi sighs, pinching his nose bridge. “Nishinoya, you can’t keep arguing with them every chance you get.” “But they deserve it.” Nishinoya says it matters factually. “Nishinoya.” “Ughhhhh.”
Daichi lets him go to walk back to class.
“I’m not a child.” Nishinoya mumbles. It's kind of embarrassing to have your volleyball captain, who’s also a grade above you, come down to personally lecture you. As he heads straight to his classroom, you walk out from the corner, causing him to frown deeply.
You notice him and return the gesture. “A bug.” You say out loud, and Nishinoya's eyebrow twitches. “Don’t you have anything better to do than pick on Karasuno's one and only guardian?” “No one calls you that.” “Yes, they do!” You cross your arms. “Let me guess.” You point at him with a condescending smirk. “Those sorry first years?”
Nishinoya raises a brow. “So?” “So?” You laughed. “They’re first years! They don’t know any better!” “Our captain agrees with me. ” You blush. “Sawamura?” His eyes widen a little. “No way…” He whispers. Seeing your flushed face, there’s only one answer to this, and that makes him laugh. “You like Daichi?!”
You stutter, “I-I do not!” You sigh, “Think of it as a celebrity crush!” "Uh, huh, right.” “I’m serious!” Nishinoya chuckles, “To think you’re actually able to feel any type of love.” Your face is still burning. “Screw you, seriously! I do not like him! Not like that anyway!” “You don’t like who?” You whip your head around, and it was your close friend.
You compose yourself, straighten your shirt, and part your hair. “N-nothing! I was just, uh-“ “Don’t care.” She interrupts. “Anyways, hurry up; we’ve been waiting for you for like ever.” “Sorry…” You lower your head. She pats your head, then finally notices Nishinoya. "Oh, were you arguing with that shorty again?” “HUH?!”
You chuckle. “Yeah. Short guy, short temper.” “I’m seriously going to kill you!” Nishinoya shouts. “Let’s go, y/n.” She walks off, and you nod. “Kay.” You glance at Nishinoya and grin before leaving. Nishinoya really hates you.
“Not only is y/n a dick, so is their friend!” He complains to Ennoshita, who’s trying to get his work done. “And this is new?” He thinks for a moment: “Not really.” Ennoshita sighs. “Then why’re you telling me this?” “Because you’re my therapist!” “I am not.”
Ennoshita looks back down at his paper. “I really don’t know what you expect.” Nishinoya crosses his arms. “I just want them to fail at least once. I hate seeing their name at the top.” Ennoshita looks at him and says, “Then put in effort.” “Nah, I don’t want to." Ennoshita sighs once more. Nishinoya leans forward, resting his head on his friend’s desk.
“I mean, someone else beat them!” He stares right at Ennoshita, and the other isn’t phased. “In your dreams.” “Damn it!”
Nishinoya was at a loss. He wanted to get back at you so badly, but his stupidity and low attention span wouldn’t let him.
He roams the hall after exiting the restroom and finds you on your phone. He grins mischievously and points at you, “Y/N! Why’re you on your phone?!” He shouts, and you quickly put it away, rushing to him and trying to slap him, but he dodged. “YOU-“ He laughs as he dodges your every attack.
Your cheeks were flushed, and you stopped trying to hit him. “Mind your damn business, you mouse!” "Mouse, I am, because not even a cat can catch me.” He looks at you since you’re the feline in this analogy. Your face turns even more red. “You’re so insufferable! Can’t you back off?! Go fawn over Kiyoko or something!”
Nishinoya shakes his head. “Bothering you is much more fun. All you do is walk away when you can’t handle the smoke.” You raise a brow at that. “Are you calling me a coward?” “What? Need me to say the word for you to get the picture?” Your blood boils. “I’m not a coward.” He shrugs. "Okay, then fight me.” Then he laughs, “Or are you going to run away like you always do?”
You grab his collar, but at the same time, he holds your fist to stop it. “Coward.” He mouths, and you were really going to punch the hair dye out of his hair.
“Y/n,” Your friend appears behind you, and you stutter, “I was just!" “You and Sawamura?!” She laughs and grabs your arm, forcing you to stand next to her. “You know how much I like him! How could you do that to me?!” “I don’t like him, I swear!” You glance at Nishinoya, who only shrugs at you. He didn’t say anything about you liking Daichi to anyone.
“You better not.” She states and lets you go, “Where are you going?” “Gym. Bye.” You just stand there in panic. You take a step forward but shiver and look back at Nishinoya. He didn’t have an angry expression, but more of a confused one. His eyes were digging into your soul as he wondered what you’re going to do now.
You take a breath, turn back, face forward, and walk away.
Nishinoya walks out of the school and starts to head to the gym. Volleyball always takes his mind off things, and imagining your face as the volleyball is really therapeutic!
As he stands at the gate, he hears crying.
Nishinoya perks up and listens closely. The sound isn’t that far, and he slowly makes his way to it. To his surprise, he sees you sitting on the bench under the tree.
You covered your face, head hanging low, and hunched over in sobs.
Nishinoya has never seen you like this before and kind of thinks you deserve whatever happened to you. But he’s a nice guy at the end of the day. He scratches his head before walking up to you. “Hey,” he starts, and you sniffle before looking up at him. “What? Are you going to make fun of me?” You wipe your tears. “If so, do it fast because I’m not in the mood.” “As much as I want to, I’m not.” He confesses.
“Why’re you crying?” “That’s none of your business.” You say that, and he rolls his eyes. "Okay, fine, whatever. Go cry to your bestie and see if I care. Just letting you know, I tried getting along with you.” He turns around, but he hears you burst out crying again. He turns his head back, and you try to wipe the tears away.
“She’s not my best friend.” You say it in between sobs. “No?” You shake your head. “She just acted like one because of how smart I am.” You started to calm down a little and hug yourself. “I don’t really have friends.” Nishinoya looks at you wide-eyed. “Everyone I hang around just uses me for my brain, and they don’t really like me in their conversations.”
You rub your eyes. “I get good grades, but I’m very lonely. I have no one.” Tears start to appear again, but you close your eyes to prevent it. Nishinoya stands there in awe. You continue to speak, “We were supposed to hang out today, but my friends left without me. They said they cancelled, but their social media posts say otherwise.”
Nishinoya can’t help but feel sorry for you. Which sucks, but, as mentioned, he’s a nice guy. He slowly sits down next to you. “I’m sorry your friends left you alone.” He begins, “You shouldn’t be hanging out with those types of people anyway.” “But I did. I told you, I have no one, so I took the chance.” You then raise a brow at him.
“You’re not laughing at me?” “Can I?” You glared, and he took that as a no. He shrugs while leaning his head back. “I think I just pity you.” You sigh, “I understand. You have lots of friends, and you get along with everyone. You’re so social, and everyone likes you, and you don’t even have to try. You're really awesome, Nishinoya.”
Something happened to him that surprised him. Nishinoya's face was all red, and when you guys made eye contact, he looked away. “R-Really? I mean, duh! I’m the most awesome person ever!” He gloats. You blink, then laugh. “In your dreams!” It was good hearing your obnoxious laugh again, and that made him puke.
“Well, I’m done here!” He stands up, placing his hands on his hips. “Karasuno needs me!” “You mean the volleyball team or the school?” “You know what I mean!” You laugh again. “You know, Nishinoya, I really don’t hate you right now. Thanks for listening to me ramble.” He blushes again and scratches his cheek. “As long as I can hear you laugh, then it’s worth it.” He admits. “I’d listen to your ramblings every day." “I-I see.”
You look down to cover your flushed face and hold your hands. Nishinoya stares at you for a while before walking to you, grabbing your shoulder gently, and placing a quick kiss on your cheek. You instantly looked back up, and he moved back, his face redder than ever. “Well, see ya.” He starts to pick up the pace, but you immediately call out for him while standing.
“Wait!” He stops but doesn’t look back at you. “Kissing someone like that... you could’ve at least taken me out, you know?” A small smile appears on your face. Nishinoya turns back with a grin. "Picky, are we?” “Very.” “Okay, tomorrow then.” He nods. “And you better pay.” “What the hell?!” You laugh, and he laughs with you.
“Okay, I’ll pay, and I’ll make sure it’s up to your standards.” “That’s what I’d like to hear.” You both smile at each other. You give him a small wave. “Bye, Noya.” He blushed but waved back. “Bye, Y/N.”
Who knew that, in the end, you guys make a perfect couple?

Crumbling Walls ( Rayman x g/n reader )
I’ve been imagining this scenario very often lately , where the reader comforts Rayman after he gets basically fired from his job … I just really want him to be happy , those scenes of his always break my heart fr :,I
I apologize for the possible ooc moments and generally not so good writing … hope this still turned out okay !
Details : use of gender neutral reader ;
friends to lovers ;
presence a few suggestive elements as well as mature topics such as mentions of alcohol and drugs , and occasional swearing ( if any of these make you uncomfortable not reading this is advised ! )
A long sigh escaped Rayman’s mouth , as he put down his sixth wine bottle … or was it the seventh … ? At this point , he couldn’t even tell anymore .
That whole situation felt so unreal , and deep down he was hoping that maybe , just maybe , it was all just a dream , and that he was going to wake up in his bedroom and then head to work on his shows like always …
… but he knew that wasn’t possible . Not anymore , not after what he did just a few hours ago .
Rayman took a deep breath , getting up from the couch to grab another bottle to drown his sorrows in , when suddenly the damaged screen of his television lit the room up in a blinding white light …
< … the hell’s this ? >
Who could be calling him at such a late hour ?
Was it the Board of Directors ?
Maybe they wanted to apologize to him for what had happened ?
Unlikely … he had spoken to one of them not that long ago and the conversation hadn’t gone well , as the hole on the screen demonstrated …
But when his blurry vision managed to make out the name of the caller , his tired eyes widened …
< Y/n ? >
< Rayman - I’m so sorry I didn’t manage to talk to you sooner !
It’s been such a busy day and I just managed to find a minute to call you after work !
I just … wanted to know how you were doing , after … all that’s gone down tonight . >
Hearing your voice resonating through the room made him feel … oddly at peace , as he staggered closer to the television .
You were one of the few people he truly felt at ease with : you were always so kind , with a strong opposition against any discrimination toward hybrids as well as a strong sense of justice …
The fact that you had chosen to reach out to him despite having just finished work , simply to know how he was doing … that thought alone was enough to make Rayman’s heart skip a beat .
< I … I don’t know … ‘m just … tired . Been difficult to deal with this , and … >
He let out a nervous chuckle , trying to keep his trembling voice steady with no avail .
< … I don’t even know if this CAN be fixed , y’know … ? >
You remained silent for a moment , before saying something that Rayman really didn’t expect …
< … would you like me to come over to your place ? To keep you company … ?
I perfectly understand if you want to be alone right now , I get it , but - >
< That’d … that’d be really great , y/n . >
< Oh - okay , I’ll be there as soon as possible , hopefully the traffic isn’t a nightmare like always … I’ll see you soon ! >
As the call ended , the kindness of his long time friend made a little smile appear on his exhausted face .
You were even willing to drive all the way to his lounge , just to be there for him … Rayman could barely believe that someone so selfless and caring could actually exist .
He sat on the couch after lazily picking up some of the bottles and junk on the floor , staring at the ceiling and just silently waiting for you to arrive …
When he heard the much anticipated knock on the door , he stumbled on the floor , doing his best to keep his balance as he got a hold of the knob and opened it :
you were there , looking like you had been in quite a rush to get to the lounge as quickly as possible .
< Hey *sigh* Rayman … hope I didn’t keep you waiting for too long … >
He couldn’t help but chuckle a little , as he allowed you to enter his place .
< ‘s alright , you didn’t . Sorry about the mess , by the way … I tried to clean up before you got here but … >
< That’s okay , don’t worry about it . >
It was the moment that you entered his place that you realized just how bad this whole thing was : judging by the wine bottles everywhere and the suspicious ( luckily still unopened ) powder on the table , it was clear that being thrown out from his beloved show had destroyed Rayman in more ways than one .
You followed him to the couch , your feet occasionally bumping into the glass bottles , and then sat next to him in silence , listening to the distant sounds of the cars wandering the busy streets below …
You weren’t quite sure of what to say , but after a moment you heard Rayman chuckle …
< Crazy , isn’t it ? Just yesterday everything was normal … just … standing there in the spotlight , discussing the news , nothing out of the norm … then one day you wake up and it’s all gone , all because you tried standing up to some asshole talking shit ‘bout your species … >
You could see his hands tightening in a fist as he thought back about what the leader of the Niji 6 had said to him .
< You had every right to be upset , Rayman . He’s the one who went out of line , not you … I always did think Red was kind of a douchebag , not gonna lie . >
He glanced at you , then sighed , one of his hands going through his once well kept blonde hair .
< Hm … well it’s not like that matters , anyway : he won .
I lost the one thing , the ONE good thing I had going for me …
I just … I got nothing now . Nothing at all . I … I am nothing . >
Rayman wheezed , covering his face as the weight of the situation finally begun to crush him …
You stared at him with a worried expression : in all the years you two have known each other , you have never seen him so completely and utterly broken …
< Rayman , that’s not … >
< What ? You’re gonna tell me that there’s still something I can do ?
Y/n , take a good look at me : I’m . A pathetic . Fucking . MESS !
Where do I go from here , huh ? What can I even do ?? >
He stood up , barely able to keep his balance , and you caught his hand before he could fall on the floor …
As your eyes met , there wasn’t a trace of pity or disgust in your gaze , and Rayman was just … confused by this .
< I am looking at you , and I gotta tell you I see none of the things you just mentioned . Not one . >
You helped him get back to the couch , and gently but firmly placed your hands on his shoulders .
You could feel him shaking …
< You will always have value to me , regardless if Eden sees you as their star or not …
I know that right now it feels like everything is against you , but destroying yourself over this … >
You glanced at the wine bottles scattered all around the lounge .
< … it’s just not worth it , Rayman .
I’m sure we can think of something , but right now I just think that you need to get some rest : it’s the middle of the night , and you look exhausted … >
You could feel him staring at you , and when your eyes met your heart skipped a beat as you realized just how close you were right now …
< … we … ? >
< Y … yeah , of course ! I know there isn’t really much I can do , but … I just wanna be there and help you out , it’s frankly the least I could do for - mm … ? >
Before you could finish talking Rayman leaned forward , and the moment his lips met yours you froze for a few seconds before slowly closing your eyes , giving into the kiss .
You could feel his hands getting a hold of your waist , and when you caressed his hair he let out a soft groan before holding you even closer to him …
After a few minutes that felt like hours , the two of you finally pulled away , catching your breaths while staring into each other’s eyes …
< Y/n … >
< Rayman … ? >
He snuggled closer , placing his head against your chest while still holding you in his arms , almost like he was afraid that if he let you go you would vanish .
< Could … could you stay here tonight ? If you want to of course …
It’s just … being with you … feels nice … you’re … nice … >
Rayman sounded more and more tired , and it was clear that he was going to pass out from exhaustion any minute now …
You smiled softly , giving him a kiss on the forehead before lifting him from the couch and walking upstairs to his room .
He wasn’t the only one who needed some rest …
It had been a long day for both of you .

Atecocolli | K'uk'ulkan/Namor x Reader
Rating: General (fluff, confessions, general cuteness)
Word count: 1.2k
Summary: After the King of Talokan confesses his love to you, he leaves you with a gift. Reader isn’t gendered, no use of y/n
A/N: this is a birthday present for my absolutely wonderful friend Mika!! Hope you’ve had the happiest of birthdays 🥳
What a strange thing it was to have a god-king look at you with eyes so vulnerable.
"I understand if you do not want to answer me right now. So I will give you this and leave you in peace,” He presented you with a shell, an Atecocolli. It's coiling spine was covered in intricate, raised patterns that your fingers couldn't help but admire. You traced the shell’s spout as he traced your knuckles.
After a long breath filled with salt-dusted sea air, you gathered the courage to look at him again. It felt like staring at the sun. You had no idea what to say to him but thankfully he seemed to understand that.
“Should you ever need me, my love, speak my name into it as you would a whisper in my ear. When you place it in the water, I will be with you as soon as I can."
"How?"
"Your voice will call me to you." He replied, and he looked forward to hearing it.
The king’s body dipped as he brought your knuckle to his lips. His eyes poured into yours as he did it.
He'd never felt more vulnerable than when he confessed his love for you a few moments ago. He tore a cavity in his chest and bore his soul to you, his heart. He asked only that you respond to his confession when you feel ready. So one day, when courage possessed you, you did just that. You raised the shell to your lips, let the fresh sea air fill your lungs, and whispered his name softly, as you would a prayer.
"K'uk'ulkan…” and then let the shell sink into the sand to be taken by the sea.
You could barely hear your own voice over the wind yet it drifted through the ocean - through currents and reefs, past lightning-fast fish and rippling jellyfish tendrils - until it reached the pointed ears of the man you wanted to hear it. He heard it from his place on his throne, seated within a megalodon's jagged jaws. Your voice floated across his sensitive ears like a ghost of a kiss and he sighed in relief and ecstacy at the sound. He adored how you tasted his name on your tongue.
He emerged from the waves and stood before you not long after with the Atecocolli clutched in one hand and his spear in the other. It was then that you were reminded that the man who told you that he loved you was indeed a god. He was built like one, with his broad back, chest and shoulders. His face longed to be immortalised in stone for how strong his jaw was, how beautiful his nose. Seawater stuck silken hair to his forehead, the droplets rolling down his body drawing branches into his skin like veins in marble.
His entire being ought to have been carved from marble but the stone surely wouldn’t do him justice, you thought. A sculpture could never capture the gentle starlight in his eyes.
“Are you alright?” He asked, checking you weren’t calling him for aid. You nodded and he took a breath of short-lived relief. “You have thought about what I said…"
"I have." You confirmed.
"Then I beg you to put my misery to rest,” He pleaded, throat bobbing. No matter what your answer was, he had to hear it.
He handed you back the Atecolli, the shell so large you had to cradle it with both hands. It was an extension of reassurance that even if you didn’t love him back he’d still come to your aid, he’d still keep you safe and visit if you asked.
You hesitated, let the air hang a moment longer and the wind whip through your clothes. He thought that was that - a rejection. He prepared himself to change the subject and bid your farewell so he might wallow in his longing alone. He didn't realise you were simply gathering courage to do something you'd been wanting to for longer than he could possibly imagine a mortal waiting for anything with lifespans so short.
“Do I frighten you?” He asked with eyes so soft they put the sand beneath your feet to shame.
The question confused you. “No,” you answered quietly. “Not at all.”
“Why then do you tremble?”
He was right, you were trembling. Whether it was from anticipation or something else, he couldn’t tell. But he couldn’t escape the sinking feeling that maybe he had scared you and that was why your body shook.
He had never before cared what another being thought about him. He’d never had to. He ruled with dignity and respect for his people and they returned that sentiment. His enemies? He couldn’t have cared less. But you? He cared that the sun shone bright enough for you, that the grass you walked upon stayed green. He cared so deeply about how you perceived him that it scared him at first. But then he realised that he, the King of Talokan, was in love with you. That’s why he cared. As the realisation dawned on him, he’d never felt more vulnerable and so sickeningly human.
"In yaakunech,” your voice broke him out of his spiralling thoughts. I love you.
He stilled and grew quiet for a moment and you worried you'd misspoken or that he was perhaps offended by you speaking his mother tongue. Then his eyelids fluttered closed, guarding the beautiful brown from your gaze. When his eyes re-opened, they watered and his mouth bore a smile so wide it must have hurt.
"Thank you. Thank you." His quivering hand cupped your cheek and leaned his forehead against yours and you stood there just enjoying the ease of which you could be with one another. The warmth radiated off him, cutting through the cool ocean breeze. "You have no idea how I have yearned to hear that from you. Thank you, in yakunaj.”
My love. He called you his love and he meant it with his whole heart. Those words were a promise.
He was half a millennia in age and all around him his loved ones perished with the slow yet inevitable crawl of time. One day he would lose you too as he did all things eventually. So your time together would be short but precious. He was grateful that his longing could end and that you could be together, even if for a little while.

I’m glad to hear that!
In that case, can I ask for Tingyun, Gepard, and Welt with a very energetic reader? For example, a reader who loves to run around and is basically bouncing off the walls?
Thank you again! (/^▽^)/
-🌸
Sparks of Enthusiasm
Character(s) : Gepard, Tingyun, Welt Genre : Fluff a/n : Sure thing🌸anon! So sorry I couldn't finish this sooner 😭But I hope you enjoy this ! And I hope I bring Tingyun to justice! (Welt too bc i cant rlly write him)
You had always been a whirlwind of enthusiasm, and this day was no different. As soon as you spotted Tingyun beneath the blooming cherry blossoms, you couldn't contain your excitement. "Tingyun!" you exclaimed, your voice echoing through the tranquil grove.
Tingyun looked up from her book, her eyes narrowing slightly in surprise before a playful smile curved her lips. "Ah, my spirited friend, what brings you here today?"
You wasted no time in answering. Instead, you darted forward, your energy propelling you towards her like a force of nature. You practically skidded to a halt in front of her, barely managing to stay on your feet. "I wanted to see you!" you declared, your words rushed and breathless.
Tingyun chuckled, her laughter as melodious as a songbird's tune. "Well, you've certainly succeeded in that," she replied, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Would you care to sit with me for a moment?"
But sitting was the last thing on your mind. You began to pace back and forth in front of her, your hands gesticulating wildly as you spoke. "I've had the most amazing day! I ran through the forest, climbed a tree, and chased after butterflies. It was incredible!"
Tingyun watched your animated movements with a mix of fascination and amusement. "It sounds like you had quite the adventure," she remarked, her voice laced with admiration for your boundless spirit.
You couldn't stay still for long. With a sudden burst of energy, you took off running in a wide circle around Tingyun, your laughter filling the air. "And guess what?" you exclaimed, skidding to a halt once more. "I found a hidden waterfall! It's the most beautiful place I've ever seen!"
Tingyun's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "A hidden waterfall, you say? Tell me more."
And so, you launched into a vivid description of your discovery, your words flowing like a river in full bloom. Tingyun listened with rapt attention, her fascination evident in the way she hung on to your every word. Your energy was contagious, and as you spoke, she couldn't help but become swept up in the excitement of your tale.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, you finally settled down next to Tingyun, your energy waning just a bit. "Sorry for being so hyper," you said, suddenly self-conscious.
Tingyun placed a gentle hand on your shoulder, her smile warm and reassuring. "No need to apologize, my dear. Your boundless enthusiasm is a gift. It's like a breath of fresh air in this quiet grove."
You sighed contentedly, feeling the weight of your exuberance dissipate. "Thank you, Tingyun. You always make me feel so comfortable."
Tingyun's gaze softened as she looked at you. "It's because you remind me of the vitality of youth, the spirit that often gets lost in the routine of life. Embrace your energy, for it's a precious treasure."
You smiled back at her, your heart warmed by her words. "I'll remember that, Tingyun."
As the two of you continued to chat beneath the blossoming cherry trees, Tingyun couldn't help but feel a newfound appreciation for your infectious spirit. Your unique energy had breathed life into her world, and she couldn't wait to hear more of your captivating tales, for it was in your lively presence that she found a renewed sense of wonder and adventure.
You bounded into the courtyard, your steps light and energetic. It was as if you were powered by an endless reservoir of enthusiasm, and nothing could dampen your spirits. You greeted everyone with an infectious grin, your laughter echoing through the courtyard.
Gepard watched you from a distance, perplexed and slightly bewildered. His normally stern countenance betrayed hints of curiosity and perhaps a touch of bemusement.
"Gepard!" You darted over to him, your voice brimming with cheerfulness.
He turned his gaze towards you, his brow furrowed. "Yes?"
"I bet I can outrun you!" You declared with unwavering confidence, ready to challenge the formidable captain.
Gepard blinked, momentarily taken aback. "Outrun me? In a footrace?"
"Yep!" You nodded vigorously, your eyes sparkling with determination.
With a faint shrug, Gepard accepted your challenge. After all, he couldn't resist a direct challenge to his abilities. He couldn't help but smile just a little as he lined up next to you, his towering figure contrasting sharply with your smaller, exuberant form.
"Ready... Set... Go!" You shouted and bolted forward like an arrow released from a bow.
Gepard took off at a more measured pace, his long strides quickly eating up the distance between you. He couldn't help but admire your boundless energy, but he knew that he had the advantage in terms of speed and endurance.
As the race progressed, you continued to bounce around him, your excitement undiminished even as he steadily closed the gap. Gepard couldn't help but chuckle as he finally surged ahead, crossing the finish line with a triumphant grin.
"I win," he declared, his chest heaving slightly from the exertion.
You pouted playfully, catching your breath. "You're really fast, Gepard!"
He chuckled again, a rare sound that seemed to lighten the air around him. "Well, I do try to stay in shape."
Your boundless energy seemed to have no effect on his meticulous nature, but it had certainly brought a smile to his face. As you continued to chatter and bounce around the courtyard, Gepard found himself enjoying the novelty of your presence. In your exuberance, you had managed to bring a touch of warmth and spontaneity to his otherwise regimented world, and he couldn't help but appreciate that about you.
In the end, your boundless energy had managed to crack through the stoic exterior of the Silvermane Guards' captain, revealing a glimpse of the endearingly adorable dork hidden within him. And as you continued to share your enthusiasm with him, Gepard couldn't deny that he found it oddly charming.
"Have you ever tried climbing trees?" you asked suddenly, your eyes shining with excitement.
He raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Climbing trees?"
"Yeah! It's so much fun," you exclaimed, grabbing his hand and leading him toward a nearby tree.
Gepard hesitated for a moment, but your enthusiasm was infectious, and he found himself following your lead. With surprising agility, you scampered up the tree, finding footholds with ease. Gepard, on the other hand, struggled a bit, his armor making it a clumsy endeavor.
"You're doing great, Captain!" you called down, encouragingly.
After a few more attempts, Gepard finally managed to reach a sturdy branch beside you. He couldn't help but chuckle at his own awkwardness. "I never thought I'd find myself in a tree."
"That's the spirit!" you cheered, swinging from a branch with reckless abandon.
As the day wore on, you introduced Gepard to a myriad of activities he had never imagined himself participating in. From cartwheels in the courtyard to a friendly game of tag with the guards, he found himself stepping out of his comfort zone and embracing the joy of the moment.
Welt had been looking out the window, sketchbook in hand, capturing the ever-changing landscape below. He glanced up when he felt a sudden burst of enthusiasm nearby.
You bounded over to him, a whirlwind of excitement. "Welt! Welt! Guess what? I saw the most amazing cloud formation just now! It looked like a dragon chasing a unicorn, and I thought you might want to sketch it!"
Welt couldn't help but chuckle at your exuberance. "You never cease to amaze me with your boundless energy. A dragon chasing a unicorn, you say? That sounds like quite the sight."
Without waiting for another word, you grabbed Welt's hand, dragging him towards the edge of the deck. "Come on, Welt! Let's see if we can spot it again!"
Welt, ever the calm and collected one, found himself swept up in your enthusiasm. He allowed you to lead him to the perfect vantage point, all the while secretly enjoying the thrill of your contagious energy.
The two of you scanned the skies, and when you finally spotted the elusive cloud formation, you cheered triumphantly, clapping your hands. "See, Welt? It's right there! Isn't it amazing?"
Welt smiled warmly at your sheer delight. "Indeed, it is. Thank you for sharing this moment with me."
But your excitement didn't stop there. With renewed vigor, you tugged Welt along as you darted around the parlor car, pointing out various landmarks and wildlife you spotted from above.
"Welt, look at those majestic mountains! And there's a flock of colorful birds!" You exclaimed, not pausing for breath.
Welt couldn't help but admire your zest for life. He followed your lead, sketchbook forgotten for the moment, as you both reveled in the beauty of the world unfolding beneath the airship.
As the day turned into night and the stars filled the sky, you finally slowed down, your energy waning just a bit. You plopped down next to Welt, who had resumed his spot by the railing.
"Sorry, Welt, I guess I got carried away," you said, a sheepish grin on your face.
Welt shook his head, his brown eyes filled with warmth. "No need to apologize. Your energy is infectious, and I wouldn't have traded this day for anything else."
You leaned against him, both of you gazing out into the night sky. In that serene moment, you and Welt shared a deep sense of contentment, brought together by your boundless enthusiasm and his quiet appreciation for life's wonders.
And as you watched the stars twinkle overhead, you couldn't help but feel grateful for having Welt as your companion on this grand adventure.

Hello…Again (we should be friends fr) But I’m here for a wholesome story! Fukao and Hawks! (Since Fukao is a pro hero, he’s always teamed up with Hawks) I thought it would be perfect to have a cuddly and sfw Vore story with Hawks and Fukao! I don’t mind the poison lizard boy with the birdie boy being shipped! Thank you and have a nice day/night! ^^
Oh yes! I like bird men. And I am going to add some characters if you don't mind?
Funkao waited on the rooftop for a certain Pro Hero. Well... a Pro Hero and an Underground Hero. The Pro Hero is famous, while the Underground Hero... wasn't actually well-known.
He heard wings- 2 pairs of them, to be specific. He turned his head slightly, and saw the Number 2 Pro Hero: Hawks. He recognized the Pro Hero. It was his best friend.
" Did you find anything, Pro Hero X?"
He turned his attention to look at the female next to Hawks. It was the Underground Hero: Sapphire Wings, or also known as Smooth Wings. She wasn't well-known by anyone. He didn't know what her name wad, unlike Hawks.
" Yes. I did."
He stood up and turned around to face them both.
" Your sister gave me the needed information about how we can catch the murderer of your father and mother."
" Who?"
" His name is El Grant. He is known for fraud, theft and murder."
Her green eyes studied him. As if teying to find out whether or not he was telling the truth.
" Find him, and make sure he gets filed for second degree murder."
She said, her sapphire coloured wings opened behind her back.
" We will, Sapphire. We promise. It is our job as heroes to bring everyone justice. Especially other heroes."
Hawks said, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. He gave her a small smile, but she wasn't smiling. She never smiled. He has never seen her smile before.
" I promise on my behalf and Fukao's behalf."
She nodded before taking off. Hawks looked at him, a knowing look on his face. Fukao sighed before shrinking himself, the opposite quirk of Mount Lady.
" Why must you always be like this when we have to be serious?"
" Because you are very devine and easy going. Unlike Sapphire and Mrs. Acid."
Ah... right... Mrs. Acid, Sapphire Wings' sister.
" Fine. You earn three points."
Hawks slowly opened his mouth, and gently deposited the shrunken Pro Hero in his maw. The flavour he got from him was amazing.
He sealed his lips around his form, and swallowed, tracing the bulge right to his chest. Right where his crop was.
" Devine as always."
Now, with a now quickly passed out Pro Hero X, he could continue his mission. And maybe grab two other tired people to rest as well along the way. Even if one of them was a villain.

my love when it counted. 02
summary: Kenny accepts he has to try and make amends, and with Matt's help he finally manages to talk to you. But feelings are complex, words often not doing them justice, and things are usually far more complicated in reality than they are on paper. pairing: kenny omega x reader word count: 6765 warning: angst holy mother of god this one got out of hand fast. if you've been around the blog this past couple of days you know I started writing this and the next chapter as one thing before I realized it had become MASSIVE. so now I had to split them in two, this has been a wild situation. so here you have it, Kenny's angst jail. but rest assured, next chapter, the fun part, comes out until saturday. for now I'll be taking some time off by doing some Hangman fluff
02.
“You should talk to her,” Matt’s voice filled the hotel room, the only other sound being Kenny’s chopsticks hitting against the plastic take out bowl, “worst case scenario -”
“Worst case scenario, we got at each other’s throat,” Kenny interrupted Matt, voice a low and tired grunt as he stared down at his noodles.
Sighing, Matt rolled his eyes as he tried to regain his patience. “Worst case, you keep how things are now, which is already bad,” he said slowly, trying not to sound too much like a threat as he stared daggers into Kenny. “Best case, you can maybe try to be friends again,” Matt shrugged as his friend looked at him with questioning eyes, it didn’t hurt to try and keep a positive outlook.
Matt took a bite of his food, letting them both sit in silence for a second before he spoke again. “And you can start watching her matches from somewhere other than a dark corner backstage, like a fucking creep.”
Blue eyes shot back up, meeting Matt’s gaze with a mix of annoyance and disbelief as Kenny spoke in between bites, “You make it sound like it’d be easy,” his disheartened muttering just high enough to be heard.
“Well, I think you at least should try,” Matt’s voice rose slightly, exasperation at the situation finally settling in. “Come on, Kenny, you can’t keep like this forever. Anything has to be better than whatever the fuck you are doing right now,” he was gesticulating wildly now, chopsticks pointing at where his friend sat on the bed.
Kenny looked down again, shoulders slumped as he curved into himself. It was a sad sight, and the silence only made it worse. Matt could see these usually vivid ocean eyes looking lost and lifeless, something painful and wrong and just plain cruel to witness. Groaning, he slumped back into the couch, breathing in deep before he spoke again.
“Listen,” Matt’s voice came much calmer this time, genuine sympathy spilling through his gentle tones, “we both know this isn’t going well. Hell, anyone who stands in the same room as you two for more than thirty seconds can tell something isn’t right, it’s terrifying to just watch.” He paused, meeting Kenny’s gaze as the man finally looked back up, trying his best to see if he could get through this time. “And if it keeps like this, it’s not gonna be long before Tony comes questioning why things aren’t quite as fine as you promised him they’d be.”
Kenny grunted loudly, rubbing his hand over his eyes as he felt a weight sinking him to the ground. He knew Matt was right, but things weren’t quite as simple. And truth be told, Kenny was afraid. Deadly scared of a confrontation he never thought he’d have. One where he knew he was wrong, and he wasn’t sure he’d know how to deal with it. Besides, his own cowardice only made things worse.
“Come on, Kenny,” Matt’s voice came in a near whisper as Kenny looked back at him, “I know this is hurting you too.”
For a second, Kenny sat in silence, gazing into nothing as he stared down at the empty plastic bowl in his hands. He took a deep breath, blue eyes looking all around the room for a way out of this conversation that he knew didn’t exist. Gathering courage, he looked back into Matt’s brown eyes, tired gaze peering into his friend’s gentle one. He was right, Matt was right, that was the worst part.
“Shit,” Kenny paused, words failing him for a few seconds as he tried to put together his thoughts, voice cracking along the way. “Yeah, yeah, you are right. I know that, Matt. But it's just… It’s hard, ok. I don’t know, I wished I could be as hopeful as you, but I can’t.”
Kenny set his bowl aside, laying down on the bed and staring up at the ceiling, legs still dangling from the edge of the mattress. “And it’s not that simple. Well, actually, it’s pretty damn simple. I fucked up, and she despises me, hates my guts. Which, I’ll be the first to tell you, she has all the right to,” he stopped, feeling the tightness in his chest straining his voice.
Matt looked at him from the couch, brows furrowed together, as he heard Kenny’s voice grow quieter. “You know you fucked up, but you changed, that’s reason enough why you should try to apologize.”
“I don’t know if I can do it, Matt,” Kenny sat back up in a flash, misty blue eyes staring back at his friend. “Yeah, I feel like shit now. I know I fucked up, and I feel like crap for it. But I don’t know - I don’t know if I could face her like that again.”
“Why not?” Matt asked, a pause between them before he urged Kenny to respond. “What are you so scared of?”
“Fucking hell, man,” Kenny grunted, staring at the ground in silence for a long moment before he looked up once more, brows coming together, a snarl painted on his face, “have you thought that maybe this could do more harm than good? That’s what I’m scared of, Matt,” his voice hit a crescendo, shaky blue eyes staring deep into his friend’s gaze. “I hurt her, and now she is pissed off - as she should - and I’m fucking terrified there is nothing else I can do to fix this mess. I wish things could be better too, but I don’t know if there is a solution here.”
The fear in Kenny’s eyes was clear as day, Matt could see it reflected in these usually calm pools. He watched his friend try to regain his breath, giving him the time to calm his nerves as he stared almost pleadingly into Matt’s eyes. God, he wished he had an easy answer to give the man, that he could give him the certainty things would be fine, but he couldn’t. All he had was hope that this situation could be fixed, that it wasn’t completely beyond help. He held onto any semblance of light he could find, and he knew selling that to Kenny wouldn’t be easy, but he had to try.
“Kenny,” Matt hesitated, words getting caught in his throat as Kenny looked back at him with forlorn eyes and trembling breath, “I know this sounds stupid, but you at least have to try.” He watched as Kenny made to reply, waiting for a second as his friend struggled with finding words.
“Look, bottom line is if this goes south, things will still be crap. And you’ll finally be sure there is no fixing this. You can move on, it’ll be no use thinking about that. But if there is a chance,” Matt paused again, leaning in, feeling his own voice straining ever so slightly as he extended a hand towards Kenny. “If there is a chance, you won’t know until you try. And I think it’s worth giving it a go, you both deserve that closure. Please.”
Kenny wanted to argue. He wanted to complain, to scream, to cry. They’d already had this conversation before, and part of him desperately wanted to tell Matt to just drop it. But he felt too tired to do any of these things. Exhaustion seeped into his muscles, settling into his bones, heavy like lead and painful like poison. He knew Matt would keep on trying - because he cared about Kenny, and about you too. And maybe the man was right, there was a point to his argument, but Kenny felt so damn afraid.
“Please,” Matt pleaded again, sensing the doubt in Kenny, trying to slip through any crack, any breach, anything as long as he could get through to him. “I’ll even help you if you want me to, I’ll do what I can, but please give it a try.”
Trembling blue eyes fitted Matt in disbelief once more. Kenny sighed deep and loud, eyelids shutting tight before he opened them again. “Shit,” the hesitation in his voice was clear, part of him still too afraid to say the words, “alright, I’m gonna - I’m gonna give it a try.”
Matt shot up from his spot on the couch, eyes wide in excitement and shock. There was no way he could be sure Kenny would really try anything, though just hearing it from him was already a success. They could think about the logistics later, but the first step was done. For now, he was just happy to commemorate the smallest of victories.
Coming closer to Kenny, Matt took a hand to his shoulder, squeezing it in reassurance. “You are doing the right thing, man. I’m really proud of you.”
Kenny looked back at him, eyes sunken and brows furrowed. He wanted to feel as sure as Matt, but he couldn’t, all he could do was stick to the belief that his friend was right. He had to be, for everyone’s sake. Kenny reached his hand to touch Matt’s where it sat on his shoulder, muttering a quiet thanks, shooting him the best smile he could muster. Now all he had to do was find his damn courage. And hope this would be for the best.
“What?”
Matt felt a shiver run down his spine at the tone of your question. It was dry and skeptical and if he let himself go so far he could say it felt almost like a threat. Like you were daring him to repeat the words he’d said previously. To step into forbidden territory and make himself a target. Your eyes fitted him with silent rage, and only now he realized how intense they were, an apex predator waiting to pounce. He could feel ice cold daggers prickle his skin, Kenny had a reason to fear, but he also had fences to mend and Matt had agreed to help.
“Come on,” Matt called your name softly, tentatively crossing the line you had drawn, “you heard me. I think you should talk to him, Kenny wants to apologize.”
You stifle a dry laugh, the sound dying in your throat but echoing through your lips and nostrils, its ghost burning Matt’s skin. He looked around, thanking the heavens for the emptiness of the food court as you two sat across from each other in a lone round table. Looking back, Matt saw you lean further into your chair, one arm crossing over your chest as the other held a beer can to your lips. There was tension forming in the air, thick as blood, and Matt fought to quell the restless tapping of his foot as he gave you a second to respond.
“Sure,” this time you laughed, but even that felt wrong, your eyes rolling before they landed on an empty spot on the floor, “Kenny wants to apologize.”
He could taste the mockery in your voice. Could feel you closing yourself off, silently increasing the distance between you two. It wasn’t a surprise, though, Matt had been warned by his brother that you’d probably not be very open to talking about this issue. That had been right after he convinced Kenny to try and apologize, a couple of weeks ago. When the man finally signaled he was ready to have this conversation, Matt quickly realized someone would need to convince you of that.
At first, he’d approached Nick to do the job, he was closer to you than Matt, so it only made sense. Though, Nick bailed the moment he started presenting the idea, wanting nothing to do with that. Maybe, that was a bad omen. But he had made a promise to help, so he was left with no choice but to do it himself.
Irritation poisoned Matt’s mind as he looked at your distant eyes. Resting his head in his hands, he willed himself to calm down, his words echoed through the desolate space. “Tell me, why would I lie to you? What would I get out of this?”
You looked at Matt from the corner of your eyes, swallowing your beer slowly, the bitter taste staying in your tongue. Sighing, you didn’t even bother turning to him as you spoke. “Listen, Matt, I don’t think -”
“I’m just asking you to hear him,” Matt punctuated his words by tapping his finger on the table, both feet planted firmly on the floor as he leaned forward, “just to let him apologize.” Matt sighed, leaning back again as his brows furrowed, mouth curling into a light frown. “It’s not like I’m asking you to become best friends or anything.”
“Look,” you turned to him fully again, deep eyes reflecting exhaustion but remaining unwavering. “I just don’t think this is going to work, Matt,” there was a tense pause as you ran your free hand through your hair, looking away before quickly your eyes met his again, now burning with an old and darkened flame. “Hell, I doubt Kenny even fucking knows what he should be apologizing about. The person I remember barely even knew what an apology meant. You’ll excuse me, but I’m not really sure he’d feel bad about any fucking thing.”
You were gesticulating intensely, hands open at your side, and Matt tried to suppress the part of his that flagged that as something dangerous. Focus on the thought that if you were reacting, it meant you were at least listening. That he was managing to crack through your walls and get closer to you.
Matt called your name again, a trembling edge marking his voice, gentle brown eyes locked in your intense ones, “I get that you don’t trust him. You are angry and I know-”
“Do you, now?” Your eyes widened, head falling to the side slightly, like a hunting hound closing in on its prey. Wrong words, Matthew, wrong words. “Do you, Matt?”
“Listen,” Matt swallowed hard, trying to push his self preservation instincts to the back of his mind. You weren’t quite as terrifying back in New Japan, and he didn’t know if he wanted to discover what made you like this. Breathing in deep, he shook the tension from his shoulders, trying his best to show he wasn’t here as a threat. “I’m not gonna pretend I can ever know exactly how you felt, and I’m not here making excuses for Kenny. He was an asshole, a bastard, a selfish jerk, but he isn’t that same person from New Japan anymore.”
You made to respond, mouth opening and hands raising, but Matt was quicker this time. He could see your grip on the can tightening, fingers starting to dent the aluminum slightly. “I know my words are suspicious because I’m his friend, but I don’t even want you to believe in me. I don’t even want you to give this new Kenny a chance,” Matt gave himself a pause, relaxing his furrowed brows and regaining his labored breath for a moment, ”I just want you to have one conversation.”
“You are right,” your voice was hard and cold as ice as your eyes dug trenches into his own, white hot rage now spilling through your tone, like the small crack that dooms a dam. You leaned forward, slowly, with every word, finger pointing straight at him, “you have no idea how I felt. You weren’t the one to stand there being accused of only caring about yourself because he got angry when you got a better chance at your career.” You paused, retreating back to your chair, shoulders slumping as your eyes and voice lost some of their edge, “and it’s not like I don’t believe your words because I don’t trust you, Matt. It’s because I think you trust Kenny too much.”
Matt could see a sliver of pain show through your defenses as your expression softened, body relaxing slowly as you looked away from him. Kenny’s reaction to your WWE invitation had been uncalled for, to say the least, he knew. On top of that, you’d had years to let that hurt sit and age, simmering in the rage you felt. It was an ugly situation and Matt felt bad for it. Bad for how Kenny acted, bad for how things turned out, and bad for bringing it up again now.
“Maybe,” he agreed, shrugging his shoulders in a tired motion, eyes closing as he breathed in through the exhaustion and the tension in the air. “But I’m not asking you to trust him. I’m asking you to listen. To have one conversation once, so you can both close this shit.” Pausing for half a moment to access your reaction, Matt sighed loudly as he saw you turn your head away from him again.
He leaned towards you, voice lowering, tone turning sharp as he frowned. “So you can both stop this goddamn cold war you’ve got going before a certain someone notices it. I don’t think you’d like Tony picking up on this mess. So if you aren’t willing to try doing this for both of you,” Matt marked his words by pointing at you, elbow resting on the table as he leaned back again, “then try for your job. And our general workplace tranquility.”
There was a long moment of silence between the both of you as you looked at him from the corner of your eye again, beer can frozen in mid movement as it hovered over your lips. You could cut the tension like flesh, Matt refusing to relent and say anything else as you fitted him with a cold expression. A knot forming on his throat as your gaze bore into his soul.
“Fuck you,” you closed your eyes, voice subdued, the fight almost completely missing from it as you looked away again, sinking deeper into your chair this time. That was when Matt knew he had won.
“Yeah, yeah,” Matt replied with a low laugh, muscles finally relaxing as relief washed over his body.
“Ugh,” you downed what was left of your beer, hitting the can on the table as you turned back to him, “what the fuck do you want me to do?”
“Nothing,” he said simply, trying to reassure you that things would be fine, “just find a time in your schedule.”
You sighed and looked around, nodding your head as you rested both arms on the table. “Kenny is here with you today, right? I’m staying in the arena all afternoon to prepare, should be leaving at six, that’d probably be the best time to find me. Just rip the bandaid already.”
It was Matt’s turn to nod as you shrugged and got up to leave, his brown eyes shining bright as he looked deep into your own. It was common for Kenny to be at the arena the day before the match, so of course you knew he’d be there. Matt wouldn’t have chosen today to do this, but in this situation he couldn’t be picky, and neither could Kenny. All he could do was hope it would work out, and pray for whoever was your opponent tomorrow in case it didn’t.
“Ok, I’m gonna talk to him, send you a message later,” he smiled, mouthing a thank you as he waved at you.
Matt watched you comically snarl at him for a moment before waving back and turning around, making your way to the door. He stretched in his chair, feeling a weight lifted from his body. His part was done, now it was all up to Kenny.
Sweat pooled on Kenny’s palms, humid and bothersome as he knocked on the door of the locker room you were at. Leave it to you to find a spot in the most lonesome corner of the entire place. He remembered that back in New Japan you’d do that for very different reasons. Not that he could complain, it would be useful in this situation too. Or maybe that’s how you’d get away with murder. His murder.
He shook his head, trying to get rid of those thoughts, his mind was reeling at a hundred miles per hour, and you still hadn’t even opened the door. And why the hell were you taking so long? To Kenny, it felt like he was waiting for a lifetime, thumb tapping against his belt as he waited, his lip already feeling the damage his teeth were doing to it. The moment was stretching into infinity, he could almost hear the empty hallway echoing his thoughts back to him. Deep inside, Kenny knew he was probably not waiting that long, but his stomach had turned inside out and his nerves were taking the best of him as he lifted his fist to knock again.
His knuckles didn’t even have a chance to reach for the door before it opened. Shock taking over Kenny as he stood before you, the closest you had been in years. So far, he had only been able to watch you from far away, like a wild animal, beautiful but only from a distance. Now he had you so close he could smell your perfume. You’d changed out of your training clothes already, the wet hair and towel on your hand giving away that you’d just come out of the shower. You were gorgeous, and it took Kenny all his willpower to unfreeze himself.
Blinking twice, Kenny looked into your eyes for the first time in so long, voice sticking to his throat as he tried to say something, anything. “Hi.”
Shit, beggars can’t be choosers, he guessed.
“Hi,” it took you a moment to respond as you looked him up and down before your fierce eyes returned to his own, and you stepped away from the door.
The last time you’d seen Kenny this close, you ended up leaving Japan forever. This time you were hoping you’d be able to stay in the country, and preferentially stay in AEW to the end of your contract. But you couldn’t deny that being around him shook something in you. Something raw and violent and just all too real. Sure, time had done its thing. He didn’t quite look the exact same, he didn’t smell the same, but he felt the same. A strong, intense presence that had every one of your senses on alert. You didn’t want to be too hopeful , but a voice in the back of your mind wished that by the end of the day, this would be different.
Stepping aside, you let Kenny in before closing the door behind him. God only knew how noisy people could be, and you’d rather this talk remained private. For better or for worse, this was a conversation that should stay between you two. Taking a deep breath, you prepared yourself, calming your nerves before you turned around, coming face to face with Kenny’s sky blue eyes.
“So,” you were the first to speak, deciding to just burst the bubble and get done with it, voice as calm as you could get it to be, “Matt said you wanted to apologize.”
“Yeah,” Kenny almost stuttered the word out, unable to come up with anything better to say as his mouth dried, and you stayed in silence for a long moment, his heart trying to break free from his chest.
You looked hard and long at him, the man before you seeming sheepish, almost like he was trying to hide. A second passed as you gave him the time to speak, but he didn’t. You could feel something burning within your veins, even now would you have to be the one to do the work? You took a deep breath, exhaling hard as you calmed your nerves.
“Why didn’t you come to me yourself?” You tried to keep the poison from your voice, to sound as serene as you could. It wasn’t an accusation, or at least you didn’t intend it to be. “Why send Matt as a messenger boy?”
Kenny sighed, fidgeting in place as he lowered his gaze to the ground for a moment. Not a great start, but all he could do was tell you the truth. Looking back into your eyes, he shrugged, speaking in a quiet and tired voice.
“Would you have let me talk if I did that?” He paused for a second, searching your eyes for any clue, but you were good at keeping what you felt locked in their infinite depth. “Would you have opened the door if I just showed up?”
“Kenny,” you almost whispered, the name heavy on your tongue as you tried, and failed, to find the right words to say.
Kenny took one step towards you, a bit of the tension in his body leaving his muscles when you didn’t step back. He hesitated for a second, mulling the words in his head as the air hung heavy and thick around you both. There was no easy way to do this, no certain way to do this, all he could do was try.
“Listen,” he stopped, he could almost feel his lip trembling and hand shaking as he swallowed hard before continuing, “I’m sorry, ok? I’m really sorry for all I did to you, honestly, and if there is anything I can do to make up for it, I…”
Kenny broke eye contact as his words trailed off, unsure of what he could say to convince you of his honesty. His chest tightened, and his heart continued to try and rage against his ribs like they were jail bars. It was awful but only got worse as he heard a noise coming out of you, something between a bark and a laugh. It was dry and small and incomprehensible to him
Feeling his muscles tense once more, Kenny’s nervous eyes turned back to you. “What?”
“Well,” you paused, gazing deep into him for what seemed like an eternity, feeling your throat tighten and hoping your eyes didn’t betray the pain you carried inside, “it just seems so simple. Am I just,” you held your breath, scared of saying what you thought, a question that plagued you intensely, “supposed to believe in you and move on?”
Your voice was so terribly quiet, but it rang loud in Kenny’s ears. It wasn’t your words that pierced him, but the truth they held. He didn’t have an answer, he wished he did, that was the hard part. Knowing he fucked up was easy, but what came now, he didn’t know. You both stayed in silence for a second again, Kenny running his hand through his hair as he tried to find his words.
Kenny called your name, voice as quiet as your own, stuttering through his words as he felt his body screaming for him to run. “Listen, I know I hurt you, I know I fucked up. I know you deserved better and that I shouldn’t have said -”
You heard him say the words, you watched the hesitation in his voice, but just felt wrong. It felt lacking. Like there was something just not clicking. You didn’t know if you could ever believe him to truly understand you, to truly get all that you felt. All that he did. The loneliness this fear caused had the large locker room seeming small, almost claustrophobic, as you stood in there together.
“Do you really know?” You cut him off, words spilling from your mouth like a torrent beyond your control. They felt like blood, like the iron taste on your mouth, the sharp pain of a cut tongue. “Do you even understand what you are apologizing for? Cause it ain't just what you said on that last day.”
Kenny sights, looking into your eyes in silence for a small moment of shock as he could see the pain spilling through the cracks of your walls. “I know it wasn’t just that, I know that I fucked up multiple times through our relationship.” He pauses again, feeling the weight of his mistakes, eyes almost pleading as he looked into your own, “but I don’t know what you want me to say.”
You looked away from him for a second, stifling something in your throat that you weren’t even sure if it was a laugh or a sob. You were tired, beyond tired, your body aching from both the work day and this whole situation. With a long exhale you looked back at Kenny, you could get lost in those vast blue eyes, they looked so lost that it almost put out the burning in your veins.
“I want to hear you say it, I want to know that you can see how you fucked up,” you swallowed hard again, words burning your throat as you forced yourself to speak them out loud, ignoring the pain they brought, “how you hurt me. How you wronged me while I tried so very hard to do right by you.”
“Shit, I know, I was selfish, arrogant and controlling in so many different ways and I know it,” his voice was almost a cry, Kenny standing frozen, pain bubbling to the surface of his mind, clouding the words he had planned in his head. He wanted to make you understand that he cared, that he regretted everything. He wanted to scream for help, but there was only himself there, and he had to do this alone.
“I thought the world revolved around me, for me, I know,” his voice got caught in his throat, the heavy truth sticking to his lips like tar, the pain shooting through his body making it hard to think. “I had all those years to look back and see it, all those years to look at myself and face the type of asshole I was. If only I could show you that I can see it, that I can see how I hurt you and how that haunts me and destroys me inside-”
You felt his words fill you with disgust, the rage and pain you’d buried shaking your insides like a storm. A shudder shook your entire body as you turned around, not able to look at him as he fumbled through his sentences. When you turned back, gaze meeting his, you cut his words short. A dry laugh that sounded almost like a bark spilling through your teeth and into the thick air in the room.
“Oh yeah, it haunts you, right? Poor little Kenny, so hurt by all the pain he caused to someone else,” you spat the words like venom, letting your self control break for a minute as you felt your eyes burn. No, not right now. Not as he fucking dared to make this about himself. “Suffering by all the shit he did to someone who loved him,” you paused, the word bringing a knot to your throat as it hung heavy over your heads before you broke the tense silence. “Look at you, even when you apologize, you have to make it all about yourself.”
Kenny got stuck in place, breath caught in his lungs as his consciousness came crashing down over him. Shit, he didn’t mean it like that. Rubbing his hands over his eyes, he tried to find a way to fix it, to make you understand. He should have thought this through, but through his life he was always terrible at thinking before he acted. Now it was no different.
“I’m,” he stuttered, words clinging to his tongue and stuck between his teeth, “I’m sorry I -”
You threw the towel you were clutching in your hands on top of your bag. Rage boiled in your stomach, your veins, your throat. It burnt you from the inside out, all the hurt and all the resentment, all the things you’d buried deep within getting brought back to the surface. You could feel your skin searing, your body bursting at the seams, water trying to rush to your face as you violently pushed it down.
“I’m sorry doesn’t cut it,” you didn’t scream, lungs lacking the air for it, voice like a strangled cry, one you hoped he wouldn’t notice even though you knew he would. “You were a selfish prick for years and even now when you come to apologize you still can’t shake it off. You came to say you are sorry, and you still have to talk about how bad it makes you feel?”
Kenny watched in pain as the words spilled from your mouth like the breaking of a dam. Your voice breaking mid sentence, eyes burning deep into his mind as you spoke. You were left breathless at the end of it all, looking broken and exhausted, and he felt lost. He wanted to hug you, to hold you, to make it stop, but he knew he couldn’t. He knew the touch he wanted to share would only hurt you more.
“Shit, I,” he started, voice trembling and eyes clouded by mist as they found yours. He could feel the tightening in his throat and the burning in his face, the pain and the fear making it hard for him to think. “Listen, I didn’t mean it like that. I mean that I had the time to look at myself and see how I wronged you and I regret it. I feel bad about the things I did, and I wish I hadn’t done them, but that’s not how this works. And now all I can do is apologize.”
“Why didn’t you do it sooner?” Kenny could hear the shiver in your voice, even as you quieted your hardened breathing. It felt beaten, exhausted, but it still retained a biting edge, like a rusty nail, worn out but still sharp. “You had years, like you said, so why not?”
This was a question he didn’t want to answer. And you could see it in the way he moved in place, shifting his weight as he pondered what to say. He looked like a confined beast, a lion in a cage far too small. He averted his eyes from you for a few seconds, a large hand running through his hair and down the back of his neck before he turned back, face red and hair disheveled.
“I was a coward,” he stopped, letting the words sink in as he took another step forward. There were no two ways about it, that was the truth, one he hated to admit. Shame gripped at him, clawing under his skin, making him fidget even more before he spoke again, voice low and almost melancholy. “I was afraid. Afraid of facing you, of facing my mistakes, so I ran. I ran.”
There was a long moment before you answered, voice quiet in disbelief, almost like you were muttering to yourself. “At least you admit your cowardice,” you watched Kenny swallowing hard, the truth weighing on him. Deep inside you wanted to trust that he could change, it would make things easier, but facing the truth of his actions, you didn’t know if you should. “You ran, you were afraid of facing what you did. Why should I believe this is any different now?”
Kenny averted his eyes from you, letting a small sad laugh escape his lips, he hoped he didn’t sound as beaten as he felt, but he knew he did. That was a good question, you were right to ask it. But he knew that good questions rarely had easy answers, this one didn’t either.
“Ah, I don’t have a good answer for that,” he admitted quietly, finally looking back at you. “I can only ask you to trust me.”
“And after everything you did,” your voice was close to a whisper, but it burnt with a quiet white rage, one so painful that it silenced your need to scream, “why should I?”
Kenny grunted, pulling at the roots of his hair, feeling his heart racing and his body hurting in every single place. He could feel a fire burning within, raging inside his mind, setting his bones aflame. Every fiber in his being wanting to run, to leave, to escape this place, this situation, everything. Restlessness settled in his nerves, from the bottom of his feet to the top of his head.
“Fuck, all I can say is I know I fucked up, ok? I know even now I still am doing it and I barely even know how to begin to apologize, how to even try to make it up to you,” his broken voice rose without him noticing, exhaustion blinding his mind from his senses, isolating him in a terrible place within his own head. “You were right to leave me back then, I was a piece of shit. And the things I said to you - I fucked up, ok. Big time, I’m aware, but what do you want me to do? Grovel at your feet? “
You shook your head, part of you didn’t want to believe the situation, but another screamed that it was obvious from the start. “Fuck you Kenny,” you swallowed your pain, tired voice going back to its icy touch as you took one step away from him, “I just want you to own up to your mistakes, to be honest.”
“I am! I’m being as honest as I can be right here,” you winced at his booming voice, but Kenny was too caught in his head to notice, his conflicting feelings blinding his eyes. “I realize how bad I fucked up, and it hurts me every single day, and I don’t know what to do with these feelings. What to do with this situation and -”
“Maybe start by not getting angry just because I pointed out how hard it is to even trust your words, let alone your behaviors,” you raised your voice, interrupting him as you took a small step back, legs hitting the bench behind you.
When your voice reached his ears, Kenny was brought back to reality with force. His eyes widened as he watched you backing away from him, realization hitting him hard. He extended a hand towards you on instinct before pulling it back to his side, noticing your balled fists and furrowed brows. Pain coursed through his lungs, burning his throat like lava. He couldn’t reach you. He failed in reaching you.
“Fuck. I’m sorry, I’m just,” he swallowed the knot in his tongue, quiet shaky voice laying heavy on his dry mouth. He could feel his eyes brimming as he called out your name, one last try to put this matter to rest. “I came to apologize to you and whether I can make you believe it or not, that’s what I’m trying to do. I am really sorry. And I know you have the right to be angry at me, I’m not stupid. But now I just wanna see if we can let this whole mess lie, or at least pretend to and act normal around each other. Just like fucking distant colleagues, nothing more, if anything for the sake of our jobs. Okay?”
You watched Kenny stutter through his words, trembling along his sentences as he looked deep into your eyes. His baby blues looked tired, broken and misted over. You had to steady yourself and not let them shake you. Tears couldn't fix what was broken. When Kenny extended his hand to you, you regarded it with apprehension for a long silent second before taking his offer. Your skin touched his for the first time in years in a firm handshake before you broke away.
“Alright,” you said softly, exhaustion corroding even the edge in your voice. You evened your breathing, inhaling deep as you got a hold of your own mind. “It’s true, you are right. We gotta put this to rest. Act like adults. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m sure I’ve left my ride to the hotel waiting long enough. Have a good day, Kenny, see you in the show tomorrow.”
You turned around, picking your bag and towel before going through the door, leaving him alone in the empty locker room. You had someone waiting for you outside, the thought shouldn’t have bothered him, but it did. Kenny had seen you and Hangman fraternizing together through the day, watched the man helping you prepare and even training with you. He could imagine the cowboy was your ride - as he’d wanted to be since long ago. Kenny didn’t want to think about that right now, shaking his head as he looked around the deserted room. Shit, now he had to go tell Matt things didn’t go quite as planned.

New tag game: list ten of your childhood ships!
tagged by @babybeale <3... forever ago. Uh. Whoops!
[I will also state my current feelings regarding the ship, and I'll go into as little or as much detail as I feel like <3 I'm also. I have a sieve brain. I'm trying to remember what the fuck it was I shipped as a kid lmao. Anything I shipped, say, pre 2016, I think should count? ftr that means I was 14 or under when I shipped it.]
Nina/Fabian, from House of Anubis;
They're still cute. Better than what they pulled in the last season ;-; fabian and mara...... why...........
2. Sam and Freddie, from iCarly;
This show was just. Not good at writing romance. At all. It was bad at it. But I am very smart and know better than them (/joke) so I could do seddie justice. Er. Maybe trying to do that right now, actually. Shh.
[also, friend; jade and beck is so complicated, you're right. A fun mess, but still a mess lmao. Me and my rarepairs was always a fan of stuff that never ended up being canon though. Might as well put it next, I guess? Looking at your 3.... when it comes to icarly; we could not possibly have had more different opinions on the matter <3 lmao]
3. Tori Vega / André Harris;
I haven't watched it in years so I do not remember why! But I do remember that I did. I think. Don't - don't quote me on anything ever.
4. Willoz - from buffy the vampire slayer;
No gifs for them :( :( :( love them still so very much <3
5. Honestly, I'd steal your number 5 bestie, 6Teen was great. In the spirit of obscure animated TV shows, though - and It's been so damn long I forgot the names of some characters, had to look up the guy's name, lol - Zero and Vin from The Invisible Network of Kids. It left a profound impact on my psyche because they did something really fucked up in the last episode, plus left us on a cliffhanger, and then the show got cancelled </3 rip. Haven't watched it in a decade or so. No idea if it holds up, but I was super invested in these kids doing spy work and experiencing insane levels of trauma that would be ignored come each new episode </3. I was literally 8 years old <3. It has a TV tropes page and the entire show is availible on the Internet Archive, of all places, sooooooo I may browse. For nostalgia's sake. There are literally zero gifs available for this one, because. I mean. No shit.
7. Didn't watch any of that continuity - only got so far as Tracey Beaker Returns... alas. Anyway, my pic for 7..... hm. Sigh.
Stiles/Lydia, Teen Wolf.
This ^ is NOT romantic! she slams her mouth onto his in the middle of a panic attack. Babe. No. No. Regardless; I don't like it </3. They really. Oh god they really fucked up this one. Like a lot. Plus, they both just ended up with much better canon ships (stalia, marrish) that then got shafted for this mess to be the endgame and then the movie breaks them up anyway!!! OFFSCREEN!!!! they didn't even last 2 weeks!!!! fuck!!!!!!!! I don't like them. But I used to. Playlist, for proof. I feel like this counts, because I shipped them when I first watched the show as it aired (I was 10 when the show started), but I did still ship the pairing until well into my teens (16 or so) before I wised up (the show made them very bad in a really boring way. Not that they weren't bad before. Love how they both do things that are otherwise reprehensible but the show frames them as romantic for some fucking reason </3 I was like 13 when I saw this kiss on screen. They're lucky I did research and didn't just take it at face value or I could've gotten some really bad ideas about what's healthy in a situation like this!).
8. Zikki (Zane/Rikki), H20: Just Add Water;
Season 3 does not exist <3 [also, the way they wrote the 'cheating' plotline was fucked up. That woman planted one on him!!! he did not consent!!! Why are we supposed to be blaming him for being sexually harassed in the workplace!!! No!!!]. Still ship them fr fr.
8. maf;lkasjd;f yeahhh. Think if you watched friends as a kid, it was inevitable you'd ship rosschel, the damn thing was pushed so hard. Stand in regretful solidarity;
For really obvious reasons (being that it is rosschel); hot damn no I do not!
9. Harry and Ginny, Harry Potter.
Ignoring the horrendous movie adaptation, when I read the hp books I basically just defaulted to shipping whatever was canon. Luckily for me, the canon hp ships are actually pretty good ones! If you ignore the canaries in the room. (I. Do not. Famously. Well. Infamously.) As for Hinny, whilst its a garbage ship name, the pairing itself is pretty great <3
10. kaljdflkasdt thank god I don't remember jack shit about watching glee for the first time! the sieve brain is a blessing in this one occasion. I've already mentioned in another (tagged <3) post my vaguely-relevant hsm ships, though, so..... hmm. What should I pick.... let's think.... I'm kidding. I don't need to think.
Shoker is a major missed opportunity in ME, and I've been mad about the choices for my fem!shep for YEARS because. Look. Kaiden she did not cheat on you. You left!! You accused her of being evil and fucked off after she was resurrected!! what else was she supposed to think other than 'guess he doesn't want to date me anymore. Rude.' And. You could have sex with Jack but not romance her, that was locked to male characters >:| biphobia [Jack can have sexual relations with women, but her only real connections are to men. Rude!]. And, Liara in my games always turned herself down for romance because she assumed my shep wanted to date Kaiden because she's not a total dick to him and there's no way for me to clarify otherwise, also people making assumptions :/ not great. Plus Li becomes the shadow broker and it's a whole thing, so that doesn't really work out narratively for me anyway. Can't romance Miranda. Can't romance Tali (wouldn't anyway - Tali/Garrus <3). Refuse to romance Garrus that is just so platonic a dynamic it's not even funny. Jacob cheats and dips, so fuck him. Like... all of the fem!shep romances are terrible (or Trainor, I guess, but she's... kind of. Nobody. She's Just There. Sorry. It's not narratively interesting enough for me.) and Joker was right there and augh. Augh! Still ship. Still mad about it. Hatboy Project is doing the lord's work! I salute thee soldier in thine endeavours. Waiting to replay LE until it's been finished <3.

If anyone wants to pick this up, go for it!

Dies Irae, the Sequence for All Souls Day

The Latin poem Dies Irae is used as the Sequence in Requiem Masses and was most likely written by Fr. Thomas of Celano,
a close friend and fellow-friar of St. Francis of Assisi.
(English translation:)
That day of wrath,
that dreadful day,
shall heaven and earth in ashes lay,
as David and the Sybil say.
What horror must invade the mind
when the approaching Judge shall find and sift the deeds of all mankind!
The mighty trumpet's wondrous tone
shall rend each tomb's sepulchral stone and summon all before the Throne.
Now death and nature with surprise
behold the trembling sinners rise
to meet the Judge's searching eyes.
Then shall with universal dread
the Book of Consciences be read
to judge the lives of all the dead.
For now before the Judge severe
all hidden things must plain appear;
no crime can pass unpunished here.
O what shall I, so guilty plead?
and who for me will intercede?
when even Saints shall comfort need?
O King of dreadful majesty!
grace and mercy You grant free;
as Fount of Kindness, save me!
Recall, dear Jesus,
for my sake
you did our suffering nature take
then do not now my soul forsake!
In weariness You sought for me,
and suffering upon the tree!
let not in vain such labor be.
O Judge of justice, hear,
I pray,
for pity take my sins away
before the dreadful reckoning day.
You gracious face, O Lord,
I seek;
deep shame and grief are on my cheek; in sighs and tears my sorrows speak.
You Who did Mary's guilt unbind,
and mercy for the robber find,
have filled with hope my anxious mind.
How worthless are my prayers
I know,
yet, Lord forbid that I should go
into the fires of endless woe.
Divorced from the accursed band,
o make me with Your sheep to stand,
as child of grace, at Your right Hand.
When the doomed can no more flee
from the fires of misery
with the chosen call me.
Before You, humbled, Lord, I lie,
my heart like ashes, crushed and dry,
assist me when I die.
Full of tears and full of dread
is that day that wakes the dead,
calling all, with solemn blast
to be judged for all their past.
Amen.
Lord, have mercy,
Jesus blest,
grant them all Your Light and Rest.
Amen.

finders keep hers, iii.
read parts one and two! the long awaited conclusion! i’m sorry it turned into a friggin’ novel. i hope it does the first two parts justice, though. these kids are... idiots. i love them and you (and also the best beta reader @hobi-gif)! 💖
pairing. jjk x named f!reader. rating. explicit, ofc. tags. this is... really soft at certain parts. and then really raunchy at others. oops? but fr - mainly fluff with some smut at the end. you might need a filling. wc. 5.4k.
You’re buzzed into the building without a moment’s hesitation, the kind concierge with the gummy smile and greying temples beaming at you as you enter. “Nice to see you, Miss Lee.”
“You too, Mr. Choi.” A grin of your own is offered, gym bag hiked higher over your shoulder as you pause to chat. You’re in no rush. “Is he home?”
“I don’t believe so.” The sudden look of disapproval that colours the older gentleman’s features is almost comical, reminiscent of a disparaging parent. It’s the same expression you’re greeted with nearly every time you visit. “He left in a town car yesterday afternoon and I don’t think he’s been back since. That boy’s going to get himself in trouble one day.” As if Jungkook didn’t already - as if it didn’t follow him around, glued to the bottoms of his Italian leather shoes.
“Tell me about it.”
“You know…” There’s that twinkle in Mr. Choi’s eyes again - the one that tells you he’s about to repeat the same words he always does when he catches you alone. “A nice girl like you could get him to settle down.”
Your response is what it always is - a scoff and a laugh rolled into one. It careens off your tongue, ringing in the spacious lobby. “I don’t think anyone will ever get him to settle down.”
How true that is, you’re not sure. For your sake, you try not to think about it too much.
The old man is undeterred though, shrugging his narrow shoulders beneath the neat uniform he wears. It’s a little loose in the chest but immaculate otherwise, tie knotted in a classic Windsor and collar ironed perfectly. He levels you with that shrewd stare of his but says nothing further, simply engaging you in an unspoken staring contest.
Sometimes, you wonder how much he sees. How much he knows .
You break before he does, tearing your gaze away and blinking rapidly. He laughs, full bellied and deep from the chest. “Get on upstairs, Miss Lee.” You aren’t offended by the dismissal. “It’s always nice chatting with you.”
You remind yourself to bring him chocolates the next time you’re by. The ones with hazelnuts, because those are his favourite. A fact you only know because you’ve helped your best friend pick up a box for him every Christmas, writing the card and having him sign it right before it gets left behind the desk.
Actually, you helped Jungkook with a lot of things. Always had. It was simply the nature of your friendship - passed down by your parents and forged stronger by childhood playdates, your fair share of teenage squabbling, and college hangovers so bad they’d created an unbreakable bond.
Whenever he would need you, you’d be there - whether that meant picking him up at 4 AM from the airport because he wanted “some shitty fast food and to see you” or helping him pick gifts for Mother’s Day. There was no task too small, no moment too inconsequential.
Unconditional love, they called it.
It’s why you have no problem swanning into his apartment with the extra key you’ve had since he moved in, kicking off your trainers and tucking them neatly alongside the rows of black leather and expensive sneakers.
You do so much for him that you take where you can, indulging in all of the luxuries you’ve never been afforded. Unparalleled view, stupidly expensive toiletries, a damn jacuzzi tub .
You pull your sweater over your head - truthfully, one of Jungkook’s from college that you’d never felt inclined to give back - and toss it over the back of a barstool on your way into the guest suite. Your bag follows shortly after, deposited at the foot of the bed that exists as a rotating welcome mat to your and Jungkook’s circle of friends.
The rest of your clothes - sports bra, shorts, thong, socks - are stripped, folded, and tucked into the laundry bag you keep handy. You know you could leave them here and Jungkook’s housekeeper would take care of it, but you’ve never been too comfortable with that. Different upbringings.
The spray is like sweet relief the moment you step beneath the rainforest shower. It’s the perfect temperature and pressure, melting the sweat and tension from your bones.
But it isn't why you’re here, so you make quick work in the glass enclosure, scrubbing your body bare and lathering and conditioning your hair into a squeaky clean mess. Any other time, you’d just spend a good half hour standing beneath the head but you’re feeling particularly indulgent today.
Call it a spa day, courtesy of one Jeon Jungkook.
You don’t bother to dry off, water splashing across the floor as you step from the shower and sink into the spacious tub that overlooks the heart of Seoul. Diptyque bath oil encapsulates the room in a bubble of sweet almond, similarly branded candle burning on the ledge. The jets release a steady stream against your tired back and legs, massaging your limbs into jelly.
You can’t help the sigh of utter relaxation that rolls off your tongue, sinking into water in the same instance your shoulders do.
This is what dreams are made of. Anyone who says differently is an idiot and a liar.
“When are you going to tell her?”
You’re not expecting the voice and it breaks the silence like a thousand pound weight, shattering the calm and nearly startling you enough for you to knock your head on the edge of the tub.
There’s no reason for you to be surprised. Not really. This isn’t your home, after all. You aren’t entitled to any sort of privacy.
It doesn’t matter, though. The discomfort in your chest is unfolding regardless, lodging rocks in your throat.
Because it’s a female voice. Lilting, soft, draped in familiarity. Not someone brand new.
Your heart stutters at the realisation. The rush of blood against your eardrums is so loud you momentarily wonder whether they can hear it all the way in the living room. They must be able to - it’s practically deafening. You can’t even hear the rest of their conversation.
Their conversation .
Which seems to have ended, leaving only silence.
You suddenly remember your shoes, your sweater. Traces of you littered throughout the apartment that isn’t yours. God, you’re an idiot. He was going to kill you - or she was. You’re not sure which is worse.
You’re reaching for the fluffy white towel on the rack when you’re scared near half to death yet again. This time, by your best friend who cuts an imposing figure in the doorway, broad form resting casually against the frame. He looks surprisingly unbothered, curls pushed back from his forehead by a pair of sunglasses and arms folded over his chest.
“Jesus!” The shriek comes four octaves higher than it normally would, pitching into the open so loudly you wince. “You scared me!”
You can’t help the way you peek past his shoulder for a sign of the girl he’d brought home.
“Enjoying yourself?” There’s something amused dancing in the darks of his eyes, his mouth curving around the same emotion as he steps into the bathroom. You’d be bothered if he were anyone else, unnecessarily long legs carrying him to you in three strides.
“I didn’t know you were home.” You can’t quite meet his stare, still far too distracted by the mystery woman. Had he left her on the couch? Maybe his bedroom as he snuck you out? What excuse could he come up with?
“Didn’t know you were home either.”
He’s made himself comfortable right on the ledge of the tub, marked fingers dragging lazily through the still-scalding water. He doesn’t seem terribly in a rush. That puts you on edge.
Was he going to hide you in here?
“I wanted to relax after my run.” You don’t owe him an explanation - not really - but you offer it anyway. You figure you need to, when you might’ve ruined his Sunday morning romp session. You can’t bring yourself to address it, though. The words just won’t come, sitting on the tip of your tongue like thorns. It hurts to swallow.
Jungkook doesn’t further the conversation - a first for him. He’s normally a chatterbox.
The silence stretches on. Suffocating.
You force yourself to speak, staring down at your hands that are slowly pruning beneath the water. “Should I… go?” The way it comes is feeble, soft, uncertain. You hate it.
By the look of surprise on his face, he does, too. He cackles suddenly, like a goddamn witch. “Why?”
Heat floods across your cheeks. You wish you could blame it on the bath or the steam that still collects on the mirrors. It pulls high over your ears, colouring them tomato red and embarrassed. Surely, he knows why.
When he repeats himself, it’s harder, without any of the laughter from before.
Rather than answer, you wave a hand through the air, fingers wiggling. The universal sign for you know . It should be enough - you hope it’s enough. Your ego won’t let you verbalise it.
“Suddenly mute, baby?”
It isn’t quite mocking - teasing, maybe - but it stokes the fire that burns in the pit of your stomach and licks uncomfortably at the organ in your chest. You don’t even look at him as you nearly spit the words, petulant and far more bothered than you should be. “You’ve got a girl here.”
A laugh that isn’t quite a laugh comes, swathed in velvet and coloured blue. The effort you make to not shoot him a glare is herculean.
He’s still snickering when he speaks. “You mean my sister?”
“Your sister?” It’s more surprise at yourself that has you whipping to look at him, bewilderment tossing all other emotion out the window. Because his sister was practically your sister. How had you not recognised her voice? You feel silly all at once, the embarrassment from earlier fading into reticence.
“Yeah. I spent the night babysitting the twins.”
You sometimes forget how much Jungkook loves children - especially his sisters’. It’s hard to reconcile the family man he effortlessly transforms into when he spends most of his waking hours playing the perfect part of unaffected bachelor.
“How are they?” You ask because you care - you adore Minseo and Minhyuk - but also so you can move the conversation along. The last thing you want to do is dwell on your mistake.
“They’re good. Getting big.” He’s got that smile on his face - the one that’s softer than any other, with deep lines at the corners of his eyes. Reserved especially for the people he cares about most. Your favourite sight. “You can come with me next time. Minnie asked about you, anyway.”
Warmth blossoms in your chest.
Being liked by peers? Great. Being respected by your superiors? Rewarding. But being loved by children? It was in a league all its own - better than ice cream on a hot day.
“Sure.” You can’t keep the grin away.
That is, until he speaks again, circling the conversation back. “So, were you jealous?” His ability to piss you off is uncanny. It’s like it’s written into his genetic code, each molecule of his body tasked with ruining your day.
“No.” It’s meant to be a scoff. It’s not very believable.
“You sure, princess?” The fingers on your chin are wholly unnecessary - he’s got you caught in his stare, locked in place with nowhere to go.
“Yes, Bunny .” You know how much he hates the nickname, only tolerating it because it’s you. You can’t deny the pleasure that comes at the sight of his jaw tensing, muscle jumping in agitation. Just as he’s your weakness, you’re his, too. “Now let me finish—”
He cuts you off, sharp and unrelenting: “Get out.”
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me. Get out of the tub or I’m pulling you out myself.” Risen to his full height, he’s an imposing figure. Even worse, there’s something you can’t read in his expression - something that has your nerves firing wildly. Your heart rattles around in your chest, uncertain.
He leaves you without another word.
You scramble out of the bath as quickly as your confused limbs allow you, knotting the towel beneath your arms. You’re not quite sure what to do next, caught between pulling your clean clothes out of your workout bag and demanding an answer from your sphinx of a best friend.
What the hell was his problem?
Your impatience wins out as you’re tugging a brush through your hair, fumbling uncharacteristically through knots until you’re too frustrated to continue. You’re ready to tear into him when you storm out of the guestroom; you’ve got a barrage of insults on your tongue, proverbial gun cocked and ready to unload.
They melt away when you spy him on the couch, neatly wrapped bouquet laid across the coffee table.
“Come here.” It’s not a request so much as a demand - commanding and soft all at once. A small part of you wants to fire off a rebuttal; that part dies when he repeats himself, louder this time.
The seat you take beside him is begrudging, a good foot of space held between your bodies. You fiddle with the hem of your towel, turning a loose thread over and over your index finger.
“What?” It’s snippy, discontent - kerosene on the fire that burns beneath Jungkook’s skin.
“Watch it,” he retorts, though there’s no acid to his words. Frankly, he sounds more frustrated than angry, more exasperated than pissed off.
That makes one of you.
Only he can bring out this side of you - brusque and biting. “ You watch it, Bunny.”
Fingers find the bridge of his nose, a gesture you don’t see very often. Guilt blooms behind your ribcage as he rubs at the tension between his eyes. For someone who has it all, he looks like he’s a moment away from losing it.
“You’re a brat, you know that?”
“Takes one to know one,” you retort, not unkindly.
“You’re making this really hard,” he snaps in the same instant he all but throws the overwhelming bunch of flowers at you.
You nearly drop them you’re so surprised.
“What are these for?”
“You.”
“Me?”
“Did I stutter?”
If you weren’t so busy studying the arrangement of florals, you’d have some witty comeback. As it stands, you’re preoccupied by the pretty bunch of peonies and tulips. You wonder what he’s done wrong - why he’s found it necessary to soften the blow with your favourite flowers.
Your thoughts drift back to his sister’s words: when are you going to tell her?
All at once, you want nothing more than to leave. You don’t want whatever heartbreak is about to come. You’re not ready for it.
“Listen—”
He cuts you off, again. “I love you.”
You’re not sure how your face looks. You imagine you could look up flabbergasted in the dictionary and you’d find a photo of your expression right now. “What?”
Jungkook won’t quite look at you, intently focused on an indiscernible point against the far wall. When he speaks the words again, they’re full of uncertainty - but not in the way you expect. The confession is as believable as any you’ve ever heard - he really does sound like he loves you - but somehow, it’s draped in dread and held aloft by hummingbird wings. “I love you.”
He’s nervous, you realise in amazement.
“Come again?”
He meets your stare then, brow knitting with unease. He doesn’t say it again, though.
“Are you messing around with me?” You don’t mean it how it comes - a little accusatory.
“I’m not an asshole.” Except both of you know he certainly can be. You don’t call him on it, though, opting instead to peer curiously at him, hands fisted around the bouquet in your lap. “I talked to my sister. She…” He shrugs once, an almost helpless roll of his shoulders. “She told me I was an idiot.”
You’re not surprised by that. Lina had always been the one to give it to him straight.
“She said I would lose you if I didn’t get my shit together.” There’s a bit of childish petulance that works its way into each syllable - he hates being told what to do. “Said I needed to tell you or I’d regret it. Which is stupid, because we’ve been best friends forever and she’s younger than me so what does she know—” He must realise he’s rambling, something he never does. “But—”
“But?” Quiet, hopeful, coaxing.
There’s a warmth in your chest - illuminating and golden and so bright it hurts to think about. It grows with each moment that passes, spurred on by the look in his eyes and how they find yours.
Hesitation pulls the silence a beat too long. The light wanes. You wonder if the moment has passed.
And then he continues, a little more earnestly. “Was she right? Am I going to lose you?”
You’re not entirely sure what he’s asking. You don’t think he even knows what he’s asking. You try to answer anyway, as honest as you can without pinning your heart directly on your sleeve. “You’ll never lose me.”
“You know what I mean.”
Did you? “You’ll never lose me.” You’re the one repeating yourself this time, just that bit harder.
“Then say it.” Again, not a request. A prayer, perhaps. Ardent and needy - a world away from the Jeon Jungkook you know.
You don’t hesitate. “I love you.”
He doesn’t either - upon you so quickly you don’t have time to blink or think.
How he kisses you now feels different. More . It’s like being consumed entirely - changed from the inside out in ways you never thought possible. Where he touches, sparks fly, filling you like stars in the night sky. Lava rolls over every inch, dragging heat and want and need from the soles of your feet to the tip of your nose. You’re gasping rather than breathing, clawing against the front of his shirt and twining your fingers into the strands that curl over his nape.
“You never told me you could kiss like that.” It’s lacking coherence, made by a partial inhale and wild, wondrous eyes.
His response is a laugh and another kiss, forceful and adoring and utterly devastating. “Shut up,” he mouths against your lips, tongue licking over your teeth and gums like he’s trying to memorise every inch of you. Hands follow in the same amorous motions, tugging and pulling and aching for you closer; the tips of his fingers sear white hot heat over your hips, the small of your waist, the delicate bones of your ribcage.
“I’m serious...” You really are - far more than you should be. You’d been missing out on this ? It’s incomprehensible.
The sound he makes is more of a growl, playful and resounding in the cavern of his chest. It rattles your own, sending your heart on a downward spiral into the pit of your stomach. His nose traces the column of your throat, soft lips guiding him further until he’s mouthing hotly over the bare skin of your shoulder. Tongue teases, delves ever so gently into the dip of your collarbone, and swipes back up, laving over the maroon that peeks around the edge of his teeth. You can’t help but keen, holding him so closely you wonder if you’re suffocating him.
“So am I.” Each syllable is punctuated by another nip, another nibble. It seems like his goal is to bloom roses across your skin - a wreath to welcome him home, made by his own touch.
You don’t mind.
“Say it again,” he demands, hopeful and unashamed from his place against your neck.
The admission comes easily, as if it’s always lived on the tip of your tongue. “I love you.”
“Again.” You’re not ready for the way he stares at you - like he’s never done before. Like he’s seeing you for the first time and he’s awestruck. “Say it again.”
“I love you.” Hands find the familiar contours of his face, thumbs brushing over the hollows of his eyes, over the beauty mark that sits front and centre beneath his lip. Each graze follows a repetition of the confession, as if you might burn the three simple words beneath his skin - write it into his DNA like he’s written into yours. “I love you. I love you. I love you, Bunny .”
He holds you close - so tightly it feels almost as if he’ll crush you - and captures your mouth again. It’s more gentle but just as lovesick. A thousand unspoken words spill from his tongue to yours, swallowed whole with greed you don’t bother to hide.
“I need you.” It’s whiny, framed by a pout that could end wars and paired with doe eyes so wide and innocent you almost want to roll your own.
“You have me.”
“Do I?” There’s a very deliberate roll of his hips, denim of his jeans rough against the exposed softness of your inner thighs, hands manoeuvring over the partially covered swell of your hips. The press of his fingers is purposeful, digging tension into every inch. As if he might transfer some of the unadulterated need that thrums through his veins, turning his heart to jelly and brain to mush.
“Since when do you ask?” You have a point.
“You’re right,” his grin is almost lazy, drawing over his mouth in a measured crawl. “Good girls just do what they’re told, right?” His grips tightens almost imperceptibly, holding you to him almost effortlessly. You’ve been in this position a hundred times before but it’s never been this easy - like breathing.
The gasp you offer is all mock affront, hand laid palm-down across your chest. You don’t miss the way his gaze follows it before ticking lower, unabashed in its admiration. “Are you saying I’m not?”
“Don’t know, baby.” The war on your neck has resumed, teeth traded seamlessly for the softer promise of his tongue, the dry brush of his lips. It’s almost sinful, garnering sighs of affection and need from somewhere low in your throat. “Want to be a good girl for me?”
You’re not quite used to this version of him - playful and needy and not nearly as demanding as usual. A part of you wants to draw out the side of him you know is there, hidden just beneath the surface; the other wants to bask in this, all feather soft and cotton candy sweet.
“Always,” you return, with a coquettish smile and fluttering lashes.
“Always,” he murmurs, tasting it for the first time. He sounds almost giddy when he repeats it once, then twice, then a third time for good measure. You think it’ll come again, laughter rolling off your tongue as you stare into the eyes of the boy you love. Instead, he speaks in a voice full of gravel and grit, all traces of your sunshine boy suddenly swallowed whole by the darks of his pupils. “Fuck - I can’t wait to have you.”
“Then what’re you waiting for?” You don’t need to push him. You like to do it anyway. It feels right .
“You’re the worst.” What Jungkook means is you’re the best and I love you and I’m going to fuck you six ways into next week . What he means is this is the scariest thing he’s ever done but it’s all right because he has you. What he means is thank you - and how he shows it is through worship.
On the way to the bedroom, he crowds every inch of you, holding you so closely you wonder if he’s trying to carve himself into your bones. He’s firm and unrelenting, balancing you against his chest as he smothers every available inch of your shoulders in sweet, sloppy kisses. He revels in the way you cling to him like you’ve never needed anything else.
In his bed, he lays you out and strips you bare. He offers devotion with every pass of his fingers, every trail of his tongue. He wants you so badly it’s hard to focus on giving you everything you deserve, but he tries anyway. He sucks love into your neck and over your breasts, pinching your nipples between his fingers until you’re panting and he’s aching for the same treatment.
On his knees, he prays at the altar of your body, taking his time to map the constellations on your skin, the memories written into each scar and dot. His tongue follows the raised flesh that sits across your hip - an unfortunate mishap from a schoolyard dare. You whine and he nearly cries, soothing over the sensitive spot with hands and lips and tenderness. He lays kisses on each freckle, each irregular mark. From your navel to your knee and everywhere in between, he caresses and comforts, turning those blemishes into stars.
He also teases - subtly, quietly, with wandering hands and focused breaths. You don’t realise it until it’s too late, your insides molten, your pulse a thunderclap in your ears.
“Jungkook.” It sounds more like begging than anything. Exactly what he wants.
“What’s up, princess?” Spoken so casually, as if he isn’t between your legs, long fingers tracing through the slick that coats your thighs. He gazes up from behind too long strands, all wide-eyed and terribly sweet - until he pops a digit into his mouth, hollowing his cheeks around the taste of you. “Something wrong?”
“Stop teasing.” You hear yourself whine but it doesn’t quite sound like you, higher pitched and needier than you’ve ever been.
“I thought you were going to be good for me,” he returns with a tut and a push of that same finger deep into your cunt. He flexes it experimentally, beaming up at you when you clench around the intrusion that’s too much and not even close to being enough all at once. “You’re so wet, baby. I just slide right in.”
As if to drive his point home, he drives another finger in, scissoring them languidly to stretch you open. It’s such a pretty sight, messy and inviting. He can’t resist a taste, dragging the flat of his tongue over and around the fingers that continue to fuck into you at a faster pace.
“ Jungkook! ” You’re shrieking, bucking against the onslaught of sensations. A shapely arm immediately cages you against the bed, palm splayed across your hips.
“Stay still.” It’s a growl, teeth bared against the sensitive pearl between your legs. Words are punctuated with the softest pressure - a silent threat that goes no further. You wonder what he’ll do if he has to repeat himself. “Good girls listen, remember?”
You’re fumbling across his shoulders, nails digging crescents everywhere you can reach. You need him so badly it hurts . “Please.”
“Please what?” That patented, stupid smirk cradles his mouth, tongue peeking out as he stares at you expectantly. “If you’re going to be so demanding, at least use your words.” He watches the way your eyes roll back into your head when he slots another finger in with the others and curls them against that particular spot that has you seeing stars. The bastard has the audacity to coo at you. “What’s wrong, baby? Can’t speak?”
You’re near wailing, gasping and whining around words that sound like his name. Angry red lines sprout across his shoulders, his arms - demands carved into flesh.
He makes a sound, wistful and resigned. You think - try to think, beyond the pleasure that’s building steadily in the pit of your stomach - that he’s finally going to give you what you need. You’re almost crying for it, moisture crowding your lashes and threatening to spill over.
Then he withdraws, all at once.
You could scream. In fact, you do, red in the face and chest heaving. “I hate you!”
“No.” He’s upon you in an instant, insistent and terribly smug. There’s a playground in his smile, childish laughter spilling into the spaces between you. “You actually love me.” He noses at your neck, the heat of his palm searing against your side as he sighs almost dreamily. “Say it again.”
You answer him with something more than love - frustration and annoyance and so much devotion you can’t keep it out no matter how hard you try. “No.”
It’s a challenge more than anything. He knows it; you know it.
He accepts it readily, just as you expect him to.
“Say it.” Enamel presses steady, heavy, into the sensitive spot right beneath your ear. He mouths over the skin that blows out red and inviting beneath his ministrations, the firm press of his fingers gripping you without hesitation. You can feel the entire weight of him against you, length nestled comfortably against your core. He repeats himself as he rocks against you, dragging the swollen, leaking head of his cock through your folds with an agonising slowness that has you clenching around nothing. “Come on, baby.”
You’re keening, adjusting your hips and grinding against him. You still won’t say it, hoping to find a rhythm in the quiet that’s punctuated by your laboured breaths and his occasional laughter.
“Just say it and I’ll give you what you want. I’ll give you everything. Promise, sweetheart.”
Framed against the late morning sun, hair spilling across his forehead in curls of india ink, he’s so handsome your heart leaps into your throat. “I love you.” It’s a wet confession, carried by a wave of emotion you don’t expect.
“I love you,” he echoes, sinking into you so gradually you feel like you’re caught in slow motion, all of your focus balanced on the tip of a needle.
It’s never been like this before. Each inch is a delicious stretch, filling you and claiming you. The drag is incredible, your walls fluttering around the intrusion and aching for more. You bite back a sob, digging into the wide expanse of his back with your nails as your mouth seeks purchase anywhere it can - over his jaw, up his neck, across his shoulders. He soothes you as he presses deeper, reassurances whispered against your temple.
“I’ve got you, baby. Let me make you feel good.” When he bottoms out, you demand more - somehow, somehow - locking your ankles against the small of his waist. He doesn’t miss the way you clench, so tight around him it almost hurts , when he says those three words once again. “I love you.”
His lips find yours and he brushes them over and over - a salve for the burn he ignites beneath your skin. It doesn’t matter that he’s both the calm and the chaos. Jungkook’s always been everything to you.
The rhythm he sets is unhurried and perfect. Each snap of his hips has his cock dragging against your walls, filling and stretching you so well; everywhere his skin brushes yours, you’re alive. There are a million nerve endings going haywire beneath your skin, flashing bright as holiday lights.
That’s what it’s like - Christmas morning . Picture perfect and filled with wonder.
He’s completely smitten when he draws back just enough to see the entirety of you - your fucked-out expression, the rose-wreath he’s wrought around your neck, the sweat that beads between your tits and tempts him to duck his head. “I love you.” It’s almost hypnotising - watching you take him, pussy dripping and needy around his cock.
“I love you,” you parrot back - or try to. It’s not very coherent, driven to a point of nonsense when his hips begin to stutter and he makes up for the loss of rhythm by slipping his fingers over your clit in circle eights.
You’re at your breaking point. He knows - can read you like the back of his hand - and holds you there, back bowing to kiss you breathless, pressure unrelenting against the bundle of nerves.
“That’s it, princess. Right there.”
The coil snaps at the third pass and there are hot tears streaming down your cheeks, his name spilling off your tongue in tandem with the erratic thudding of your heart. White spots your vision, entire body electrified as you crash headlong into an abyss of bliss. You hear him join you with a hoarse whine, a mix of your cum slipping out of you as he rides out his own high with shallow thrusts, mouth open and panting against your shoulder.
The comedown is hazy, dusted in exhaustion and a thin sheen of sweat. When he slips from you, he doesn’t go far, tugging you comfortably against his side like you’re not both a little gross. It’s not the first time you’ve fucked but it feels different.
“I love you, baby.”
“I love you, Bunny.”
You realise - it feels exactly like that. Making love.

“Say cheese, take a picture. Strike a pose, make a scene, take a picture.”
—Say Cheese | KiDi
Word Count: 1.3k Pairing: Todoroki Shouto X Reader Context: Soulmate!AU, Reader doesn’t live in Japan Warnings: hints of explicit content, explicit language
All characters are 18+
A/N: Welcome to the third installment of the 2.5k celebration! This wasn’t difficult but tedious? I rewrote the entire thing twice LMAO. Anyways, I think this is currently my favorite song on the list. KiDi is the man fr 🇬🇭 This is one of his newer songs and I hope I did it justice. I was thinking a fun long-distance relationship with a hint of “will you like what’s actually on the other side of screen?” No (real) angst this time! Enjoy <3
Todoroki Shouto | Say Cheese
Midoriya nearly winced as he watched his friend stab into his steak a little too harshly to be considered normal.
“Everything alright, Todoroki?”
This time, he actually winced when the icy-hot hero’s eyes flickered up to meet his own with a dirty glare.
“Right. Stupid question.”
Shouto merely grunted. Izuku sighed.
He had hoped taking Todoroki to his favorite restaurant would lift his spirits a bit after recent events. However, Midoriya should’ve known better when Todoroki got the steak instead of soba.
The green hero grimaced when he plunged the fork into the filet.
Izuku carefully chose his next words.
“You know…this doesn’t mean you’re out of the game.”
“Easy for you to say. Your soulmate didn’t ‘curve your ass like a grade’,” Shouto sourly huffed.
Izuku placed his hands against his mouth in a prayer like fashion in an attempt to hide his laugh.
What happened between you and Shouto had been a…surprise to everyone.
During a mission that required help from international heroes, Shouto had found you. His soulmate. One look at your matching birthmark and he was quick to approach you.
You two hit it off right away.
Your hero agency was only needed for a week, but Shouto had taken every opportunity he could to know you. From the way your nose twitched when you got annoyed to the silent flutter of your lashes when he softly kissed the skin beneath your collarbone. The moment he saw your smile, he adored all that was you.
The icy-hot hero had always been a bit skeptical over the concept of soulmates, yet he was ready to share his life with someone he hadn’t believed existed all but seven days ago.
When you left Japan, it was difficult.
However, you two kept in constant contact. Despite the time differences and the unconventional schedules that came with being a hero, you made it work.
Facetime calls were a must. Shouto wanted—needed—to see your face at least once a day. Whether it was to say a quick good morning or to end the night with heavy rants about hero politics, he wanted it. Even if it was just to observe you get ready for work, he’d quietly take in your beauty. He won’t admit to his secret album of screenshots.
If he couldn’t call you, he texted. Sometimes it’d be long conversations centered over food. Other times, it’d be random pics of things that reminded you of each other. He especially liked the ones he’d get late at night where the clothes you wore left little to the imagination and he’d quickly lock his office door so he could visually discover what was left behind the tiny strip of underwear.
The first “I love you’s” were exchanged over the phone and, afterwards, Todoroki had stared at your picture on his screensaver for half an hour.
Six months went by of calls, texts, pictures, and grandiose anniversary gifts, before you were able to meet again due to another mission.
When he offered to pick you up, you oddly declined. Shouto hadn’t thought anything of it.
When you finally met, you curved him.
At least, that’s how Bakugo put it.
He hugged you, you were stiff. He tried to kiss you, he caught your cheek instead. And for the rest of the day, you actively avoided him. He immediately confronted you about it and you said you were tired. That’s how you played it off for the last few days.
At first, Shouto was outright depressed. Then he was angry for a day. Now he was just bitter.
Everything was perfectly fine up until your arrival. Did he do something wrong? Were you two fighting? He didn’t understand it and it was driving him crazy thinking about it.
Izuku watched with concern as Shouto coldly rubbed the mark on his shoulder. He sighed as the temperature of the room seemed to drop.
“Don’t forget that you’re meant to be together, Todoroki. Just talk to them,” he reminded.
“How?”
“Remember how Momo’s having that pool party tomorrow?”
“Yeah…”
[Next Day]
“So, you gonna ignore your soulmate today too?” your friend, Jax, nonchalantly asked as he gathered silverware.
You miserably sighed and put your head in your hands.
“I’m the biggest dick of the century.”
“No kidding.”
“Now, now,” Momo softly chided. “You said so yourself. You were overwhelmed.”
Ochako, who stacked the food cartons, nodded in agreement. “You met your soulmate for a week and had to continue 99% of the relationship over long-distance. I can understand why you’d be scared to physically meet Todoroki again. It’s different. Especially after how serious you two got.”
“Still doesn’t abstract from your lack of communication skills,” Kai reminded. “You hurt the poor man’s feelings.”
Iida nodded. “Todoroki is…confused to say the least.”
You nervously looked up at them. “Be honest. How mad is he?”
Your friends remembered how Bakugo and Kaminari’s teasing made the usually mild-tempered hero burst into angry flames.
They looked to each other before collectively staring at you in silence.
You dramatically groaned.
“It’s not like I don’t like him anymore. I love him. I do. It’s just…I was nervous! When I saw him, I panicked!”
Unbeknownst to you, the kitchen door opened.
Iida motioned behind you. “L/N, I believe there is—”
“Shh, they’re having a moment,” Ochako quieted, oblivious.
“He’s just such a beautiful person. He’s so kind and thoughtful and he has so much good to offer the world. It blows my mind that someone like him exists. For me. It’s so easy to be my best self behind a screen. I’m just afraid he won’t like what he sees in real life…”
“Why didn’t you just tell me that?”
The soft sound of your soulmate’s voice made you freeze. You slowly turned to see him stare at you with an unreadable expression.
“We’ll be outside,” Jax said before your friends filed out.
You gulped beneath the intensity of Todoroki’s stare. Not only were you embarrassed, but you were hyperaware that you were in a swimsuit. It didn’t help your nerves as you took in his well-defined muscles and the happy trail disappearing underneath his shorts.
Why does he have to be so damn fine?
Todoroki’s thoughts weren’t far behind yours as he took in your physique, but he had things to address.
“Y/N, sweetheart, please talk to me.”
“Shouto,” your fear was clear in your whisper. “I’m sorry.”
He moved closer to you and you both felt the warmth from your birthmark when his hands found solace on your hips.
“You know I love you, right? Everything about you.”
“Everything I let you see,” you gently corrected, eyes to the ground.
The shame and insecurity in your chest made your eyes burn, but you couldn’t blink the tears away before Todoroki tilted your chin to meet your gaze.
“Then, show me the rest, Y/N,” he said, voice deep and genuine. You gasped as he kissed your birthmark. “I want the good and the bad. I want you. All of you, my love.”
You closed your eyes and sighed into his embrace, letting yourself finally feel his physical presence. It was like his words melted away your doubts.
He wanted you.
Why were you trying to convince yourself otherwise?
“Okay,” you whispered, laughing through your nose.
The red and white hero pulled away to soak in your features before diving in to capture your lips. It had been six months. Six full months since you two had tasted the other and damn if it wasn’t worth the wait.
With each passing kiss, he seemed to sink deeper into you. Soon enough, you didn’t know where your mouths started or ended. All you concentrated on was how his tongue massaged your own as his hands tried to memorize every curve of your body.
Todoroki impatiently groaned as he attached his lips to the sweet spot on your neck.
“Oh! Shouto wait—”
“I meant it when I said I want you,” he growled before his hands traveled downwards and squeezed your ass.
You quickly figured out you would also be seeing more sides of your soulmate as well.
